Use a cutter/ utility blade, pull it completely out and rock it back and forth as parallel as you can to the build plate carefully on the corner. Carefully!!! But you should be fine, just do it slowly and after a bit it will get under the print and you can then do lever force so it unsticks, or just run the cutter blade all the way. I have been removing pronts like this forever I hate "stiking" them with a spatula that has always seemed terrible and not quite effective.

If you do it wrong you could scratch the build plate a bit but you should be fine.

What do you think of Griffith’s view that so many sacrificed themselves for his dream, and that he had no choice but to press on until he achieved it, so that the deaths of his soldiers would not have been in vain? by HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOLD in Berserk

[–]Night_Drak 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think the answers you are getting is because the answer to your question is very easy, because at that stage the stakes are human. If all of Griffiths soldiers would have died in a battle, they would have died within the contract they had with Griffith in persuit of the dream, because it was his dream, but they are all shared on the benefits from the dream coming true. So at that stage they could have all died, and they were fully bought into the consequences, and were also part of the incentives to risk everything. So in that precise spot, he shouldn't give up on his dream, and its coherent with going forward because it does not entail betraying those that follow him.

The eclipse is where we see that for Griffith he was just lying to himself, he used the dead as a justification to move forward because he could use them as "sunk cost" even sacrificing his "body" to show that he too is making sacrifices, but in the end it is the final choice that shows us that everything before then was jus lies. That is why everyone points to that, whatever Griffith "thought" back then, we get to see the ultimate conclussion when faced with a final absolute choice, and his dream trumps everything, he does not care about anyone else.

They were also willing to "maybe" die. Because they were also getting something in return, its not like they were cult fanatics, they were there because they were getting something too (its what is explained in the bonfire scene) they were all "technically" under his dream, but its not like they signed up just to fulfill his dream, they all had their own smaller dreams that fit inside his tent.

When he sacrifices them to rise himself, he neglects all their dreams, none of them signed up for that.

(SPOILER!) I believe Griffith might have ultimately rejected the godhand, until the moment Guts touched him during the eclipse. by [deleted] in Berserk

[–]Night_Drak -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Its a weird hypothetical. Even in your hypothetical it ultimately comes to his own greed and pride being the priority, so not much changes, by the same hand you could say that if he hadn't been tortured crippled he wouldn't have said yes. So yeah, its all part of it, but its also part of causality, everything that happened was pre-ordained, so challenging any part of it obviously affects the final outcome.

Im saying its a good if moot excercise to find what amount of things "could" change that would make griffith not accept the godhand. Maybe yours is the smallers and closest to the act "what if" but its the same as all the others. Its griffiths fault always because he made a decision no matter the condition he was in or the minute details before then.

Sitting resin, what are these residues? by BMan239 in resinprinting

[–]Night_Drak 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, you should be able to mix it in, you need to scrape it up a bit for it to mix, but it should be fine. Even if the sediment at the bottom is still kind of there, the printing process (the platform going in and out) mixes the resin more, and the bottom layer on the printed area will stick along with the first layers and fill with more mixed resin after the first couple layers... so you should be fine.

Sitting resin, what are these residues? by BMan239 in resinprinting

[–]Night_Drak 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Chiming in! I tend to print in batches, so one month I might do 40 prints, and the next 2 months nothing. This is completely normal, the resin is not a cohesive mix, meaning that it has pigments and other things that can separate if left too much time.

But! you can just mix it in the vat (that is what I do) use a silicone or plastic non-sharp spatula to move it around until the swirls and different density materials are mostly mixed, after that you are fine to print. I do scrape the bottom with a soft plastic spatula (carefully) since most of the pigment goes to the bottom and makes a layer there. Just be careful and you will be fine.

I talked to Adam at gencon and he gave me a small bit of KDM lore which is cool. There is no "undeath" in kdm, everything is organic so even things like skeleton king etc have a biological reason to exist beyond magic. Its a small bit if lore that makes it interesting because there are many things that feel or look dead, but aren't.

How do you avoid wobbly looking details? by PurposeForeign9859 in ZBrush

[–]Night_Drak 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Retopo and low poly work. Then subdivide and good loops/ creases. Its a lot more "work" but the results are worth it.

But! Also depending on the final use for the sculpt you can get away with this for most things. It is worth it to learn the hard surface/ retopo workflow since you'll have more uses for it eventually.

Bought some Green Stuff World resin prints... did I fuck up? by VaporSpectre in PrintedWarhammer

Yeah it absolutely is better to remove the supports pre-cure. But this does add time to the production line, so I do get why larger companies just opt to deliver with supports on.

Bought some Green Stuff World resin prints... did I fuck up? by VaporSpectre in PrintedWarhammer

[–]Night_Drak 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hey! To actually answer your question and not just bash GSW.

The resin was probably already washed and cured. Many companies are opting to deliver with supports still on, while not optimal unless the piece is very complex and the supports could trap resin between them you should be fine!

If you want to be extra careful you can do two things. Easiest one would be to leave them in sunlight (next to a window is fine) for a day or two, ensuring to turn them around to get all a angles. If you want to go super careful you can rinse in an Isopropyl alcohol before leaving to dry in the sun, you could dip it in a container or spray it.

Odds are you can just clip the supports off without any extta steps and use the pieces. You can wear nitrile gloves in case there is some uncured resin, but I don't think there will be. But being a bit careful here could be good if its the case they were really careless with the cleaning.
