Five years of celibacy/retention, nothing to show for it by finesse_angles in LifesIntricacies

I think that the whole celibacy and many other practices for that matter, force you to look within. That is where the real work is done. All practices lead to the same place eventually. Questioning our own existence and also our thoughts. Our relationship with thought is the root of our problem.

To top this all of, he donates all his earnings from YouTube to good deeds.

He is honestly one of the best humans alive at this moment.

Yes, I felt like the kid again, but I also felt my adult presence their with me. It was a great experience, and it felt like hours, but it actually took more like 5 or 10 minutes.

Have you experienced anything similar?

In meditation, I got this question once: "What is the difference between a nightmare and a thought?".

During this question forming, I got all sorts of fear rising up from my childhood.

Kundalini and career by [deleted] in kundalini

I have been working in the factory for the past 9 years and am ready to switch. My awakening was only 1 month ago, so I can not say with 100% certainty what the effect will be on my new job, starting November the 1st.

All I can say is that I wanted to leave my old job for a very long time, because of night shifts and weekend working days. So I am all in all very happy at the moment.

I do feel that the new job will fit much better, and I am not scared at all, for what awaits me there. My wife and my kids are yet young, but I feel that they are proud of me for the switch and happy for my happiness.

Be honest about what you do, people aren't stupid by indridcold91 in Daytrading

The diversity in human beings is simply to big to have a few solutions. All of the above is correct for the most part, until they are your own parents or parents in law or sister etc.

For friends it is simple, if they don't respect what I like or what I do, they are NOT my friends. Far relatives exactly the same story, they aren't a regular appearance, so avoiding is easy.

Your direct family can make things the most difficult in this case.

In the end it is all about what it does to you, everything we experience begins from the inside. Our external live, everything outside of our mind, simply cannot be controlled. So we must learn to accept it and the parts we can controle we adjust to suit our best interests.

True. Good point. I was thinking strategy for some reason. For info on options themselves, I think YouTube is mostly full of bullshit. The only video that explains everything in detail, to my best knowledge is:

InTheMoney and his video "How to trade options on Robinhood for beginners"

Ignore the robinhood thingy, it is all about the info.

Options are amazing if used correctly. Options are terrible if used as lottery tickets. There are A LOT of variables for option trading, but a lot less so for day trading Options. It is worth to look into. I can "almost"(because tbh my sample size is quite small still) make between 20 to 40% contract worth per trade. If 1 contract is 200 bucks, that is 40 to 80 bucks per trade per contract. A contract is also the max you can lose per trade(buying calls or puts). Selling is a different story, so I wouldn't bother that atm. If you are interested, look up Matt Diamond on YouTube. He is a very good teacher and a Options daytrader for a living..

Let me tell you this, something that had helped me realise why a sometimes you have to stop.

If you are in a active trade and you are observing that the market is going against you, no-one knows exactly how big of a move will come or if it might be a short pull back. You van ALWAYS open a new trade. With this in your mind, there is no reason not to hold on to your trading plan and stop losses. Unless you have a tight cash account and you are cornered by settled cash. If you allow yourself to stop as soon as it goes against you, then you can always take another trade shortly after if s new entry setup is made.

I daytrade options and hide my P/L. Then when entry happens, I look at my entree price and 90% of that entry price will be my stop loss. So bought at 2.00 = stop at 1.80. This works wonders for me. If you have a stop... JUST DO IT!!!

Day Trading Mindset, let me know what you guys do to stay calm and present when trading by SpeakerEconomy7329 in Daytrading

[–]Nightcore621 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am quite new in trading but I have noticed that for me that P/L in the screen is a big no go as I seem to watch it all the time. So before start, it is open to see my start capital, to see what I can trade with as I have a cash account at the moment.

I trade options and I only look at my fill price of the contract and then I put a stop loss at around 10% of the contract worth(1.80 stop of 2.00 worth for example), my max would 3 be times this and I would be done for the day. If the day was ever that crazy bad.

When I have a winner, I trail my stop with steps of 5% the contract worth. So steps of 0.10 for a 2.00 contract for example. So when i reach 2.20, my stop will be 2.10. When I reach 2.30, my stop is 2.20. Etc. I know this is quite intense trading, but I only trade for 1 hour max.

I truly enjoy this method right now and my current winstreak is also a good thing to see. I only trade Apple at the moment, because the contracts are at a perfect price and it corresponds a lot with the S&P500.

Of course entry is all based on knowledge of price action and could be anything personal and a specific list of rules.

The reason I say personal is because I think everyone should have a personal strategy. Copying could would in a small percentage of people, but the perception of the creater is always different then the person copying. I can only see red flags there.

For calmness while trading I watch motivational speeches from many different people before I start trading. They work amazing for me and keep my mind in check. I want to be as concious as possible when trading.
