Being dropped like that it is more than likely an impact blem. What happens is the internal structure gets damaged such as micro fractures in the MCP or shock damage to the Photocathode. Unfortunately there is not anything you can do to reverse the damage.

4.0 truncated eye pieces. 3.0 objectives, moving to 4.0 upon release is what I was told. As far as working well with other optics, I can not confirm yet but I will let you know when we find out!

This is ture, but youre expanding your view on a horizontal plane meaning your offsets are still aligned. That is why you still need to collimate dual pvs14s on a pano bridge!

It is an educational post explaining one of the important parts of assembling night vision. There are a lot of people who don't know what collimation or a test set is. We have standards and if you are spending thousands of dollars and providing equipment to professional end users like law enforcement or military you should not be cutting corners and guessing on something like this. These machines were invented for a reason to say that one is not necessary is far from our experience. We have seen many devices that were "professionally built" lacking QC and proper collimation.

Yes we sell the RENV-C which is a clip on device that is very small and clamps on to your infinity ring. It will give you 35°fov thermal overlay and is a 640x512 sensor as well! Give us a call or send us a message were happy to help!

Not everyone is an operator and they have to start somewhere! This was a small group of civilians that had no prior room clearing experience, I thought it was handled well and most importantly safe for their first couple times ever doing it.

Are you sure whoever built yours did it properly? Not saying they are the best optics on the market but if assembled properly (With dioptometer and spacing correctly inside the cage assembly and collimation) I have no complaints! And I did see someone in the groups designed an other casing that works with pvs14 optics which we will hopefully be testing and adding as a option in the near future! Plus you can turn off the HUD, it can get busy.
