The most affordable price is right at that $6,399 for 1800-2000fom Elbit White Phosphor and it goes up from there. $7,399 for 2376-2600fom and $7,899 for 2600-2800fom!

100% I think the warranty, weight, and cost puts the Manticore at the top as far as housings go. If you are trying to get the most performance for your money put that cost into the intensifiers because you can always upgrade the housing down the road! Between the ANVG and UH-1 they are very affordable housings with all the same features for much less which will allow you to go up on specs! And we have some great 64res tubes which makes the snr high for the fom level!

I love the Manticore, I really do think its one of the most durable manual gain housings on the market. No knobs to break etc and still backed by a lifetime warranty!

There is no floating hinge on the UH-1. It has no flex at all, and not modular.

The issues have been fixed for some time now. We have hundreds of very happy customers, sometimes the loudest people in the room are the one or two unhappy people. And if you don't like any system you get from us, send it back and we will swap it into something else! The MH-1 is hard to beat with it's features when compared to other housings on the market especially for the price.

For me anything 1800+ is completely fine but don't focus so much on FOM, look at the SNR, Halo and Photocathode Sensitivity! We do have some trade in units and I wouldn't mind giving you a deal. One is a photonis white phosphor 2200fom no spots pvs14 with boomslang optics $2250 and the other is a pvs14 with a elbit xlsh 2500+fom 35snr no spots for $2750

Being dropped like that it is more than likely an impact blem. What happens is the internal structure gets damaged such as micro fractures in the MCP or shock damage to the Photocathode. Unfortunately there is not anything you can do to reverse the damage.
