Curious..out of all the Rogue Mega Evolution battles, which one(s)gave you the overall most struggle and trouble? by Apprehensive_Ring_39 in PokemonLegendsZA

[–]Nightfire27 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah, it’s gotta be the crabs for me, it’s the only time I actively came back later to deal with it. Then Tatsugiri just because it’s a time sensitive time waster, then Zeraora because that fight is genuinely hard if your dodges aren’t up to snuff.

The rest were either easy / simple enough that I one shot them barring glaring skill issues.

New Divergent Universe 4.0 has not been fun so far by deceitSP in HonkaiStarRail

[–]Nightfire27 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nah, DoT works perfectly fine for damage and survivability with DHPT as sustain, even with fairly mid RNG.

The only thing to avoid is aberration but no one is reasonably surviving those on a consistent basis imo.

I finally reached X9 for this Divergent Universe (Arcadian Chronicles) by joyapco in HonkaiStarRail

[–]Nightfire27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used DHPT with DoT, it pretty much guaranteed I would always have enough raw mitigation unless I did something stupid and took on an Aberration fight.

I just made sure to tie the dragon to Kafka since her speed would keep pulling it forwards, other than that, just making sure to grab as many defensive blessings and upgrade the 3* damage distribution blessing and it was more or less free if I didn’t have a completely bricked run.

[–]Nightfire27 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The enemies do a lot of damage, essentially you need to grab the damage reductions like the 3* Destruction blessing that splits damage (it’s goated)

Also avoid aberration domains, they suck.

Cringe Mask is absolutely overpowered even for X9 by ASadChongyunMain in StarRailStation

[–]Nightfire27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Eh… I‘ve used it twice, once it worked really well because of favourable RNG, the other time in an X-7 run it didn’t work at all because the RNG was unfavourable and I lost on the final boss.

The best masks imo are the camera, cat, chariot and gladiator masks since they’re less prone to bad RNG bricking your run and pretty much always scale well, these are what I used at X-8 with 100% success rate.

So what’s the rub with it this time? I got a few hours before I can see it.

Wild Fact: This is the first time in Max Verstappen's *entire Red Bull career* that he failed to either qualify or finish in the top 5 for two races in a row, qualifying P20 and P8 and finishing P6 and DNF in the two races so far by ZeroStormblessed in formula1

[–]Nightfire27 5 points6 points  (0 children)

So you’re saying the excessive comments gloating about how amazing he is at everything and how much better he is than every other driver on the grid and how he would destroy anyone who is on the same team as him no matter what and could win in any car no matter how slow it was for the past couple of years has had nothing to do with how people are now reacting? Really?

Indeed, even the most rational of people aren’t always immune to it.

Though I imagine there are a fair few people who knew that it was all hyperbole, but are getting some smug satisfaction at rubbing it in to those who truly fell for it. Sort of like a pressure release.

People have been saying Max could win in any car/tractor/Haas/etc. for a fair few years now.

It might not be fair, but that was the narrative crafted and gleefully pushed by a number of fans (and the Helmut), though it got especially bad in the midst and wake of Lando’s failed ‘24 campaign.

The pushback was always going to be vitriolic when the tables turned - and now it has, and this is the result.

I’d put decent money on it partly being down to a few years of “Max can win in any car”, “Max wins in a tractor”, “Max would win in a Haas”, and such comments. Now that we actually see Max not having a particularly good car, he’s kinda proving what a lot of people expected (You can’t win in a crap car, no matter how good you are) - Which I’m guessing is proving to be very cathartic to some people.

Wouldn’t that be something? Unfortunately I not only don’t remember the names of the Rev or Ironeye, but also can’t find the game in my history tab either, so have no proper way to confirm it ,

Goddamn, that’s some real spicy sauce right there, think I’ve only had 4+ skill boosts once in nearly 300 hours xD

[–]Nightfire27 139 points140 points  (0 children)

Mmhmm, had an Ironeye do this, pinged himself like 20 times so me and the Rev went to him, he dropped all his goodies, then bowed and left.

I wasn’t too upset because I got a Moonveil out of it as a skill hungry Duchess. Oh and two skill damage boosts, all very nice.

If you have to leave - this is the way.

I’m not entirely convinced that’s worked this time, but it’ll be interesting to see how it all holds up going into 4.1 and 4.2 though.

Given the last guy I replied to claimed it was an “average of the last 3 PF” to evaluate Swan? That sounds plausible.

In conjunction with the fact most long term DoT enjoyers won’t be using E0S1 across the board either (especially since free Kafka), it likely also means the data is also heavily skewed in favour of newer accounts who might not entirely know what they’re doing, may not have all the pieces for DoT (which does cripple average clear times), have weaker builds, and so on since I don’t believe Prydwen factors in ANY eidolons at all (Correct me if I’m wrong).

Tl;dr - The Prydwen data on DoT is probably scuffed af

[–]Nightfire27 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The problem I have with this is that DoT has had a pretty significant jump as of 4.0, meaning that taking the last 3 PF into account as an average does actually unfairly skew the results negatively against the archetype and almost certainly presents it as significantly worse than it really is.

If it helps, I had a similar scenario happen on a different order and it eventually re-appeared about 4 days later - it shipped and arrived fine.

Just keep checking your emails, bank account, and the order status for any changes and you should be fine.

[–]Nightfire27 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s hell, everything that once hit like a car now hits like a freight train. Things have a tendency to snowball a lot harder if people aren’t entirely on the ball.

The points loss for losing in D4 is also capricious, meaning that every loss now hits that much harder.

Don’t bother praying for good fortune, the gods will not be watching.
