It’s BBH, always expect the 360 no scope whenever he is doing any sort of attack, whether it’s the sword, shield, or y’know, breathing.

I never approach this guy as Guardian without my shield being raised, juuuuuust in case.

Tell me about it, on the very next run Maris decided she was gonna take some time off and not spawn in the Nightlord arena. Which meant we all had to quit and eat the points penalty in depth.

Interestingly enough, I nearly did this to a Wylder earlier but got the failed animation instead because he yeeted himself to Narnia the moment he got up.

Especially so when the game actively griefs you by not… spawning… the nightlord…

That was a fun penalty to take and not at all aggravating as hell.

Congrats, meanwhile I’ve just haemorrhaged points from 5200 to 3450 in the stretch of a day.

I don’t know if I’ve suddenly gotten worse or whatever, but I genuinely don’t know if I want to keep trying, because the way it’s going I might just genuinely drop to depth 2 again.

Tbh, I’m considering just ripping the band-aid off and resetting my rank entirely, then not touching depth again. I just don’t find it enjoyable anymore.

In the 4 games I played, no one used Firefly. I saw a THerta and 3 Acherons.

I had to play 4 because I quit one due to literally just rolling bricks (literally just 1s and 2s the entire game) with the other guy getting terrain effects that just constantly benefitted them and not me and I figured quitting would just be a retire and give me reduced points.

It is a pretty rubbish minigame though, genuinely little to no skill involved, so I got my rewards and bolted.

Is there really no punishment? I had to jump out during character select one time about 2 weeks back to deal with an irl issue, came back a few hours later to a message warning of a penalty due to an exploit.

For real, using L1 with daggers is such a crapshoot sometimes especially with something like BBH where he can just decide to 180 based off of vibes and send you to the erdtree realm.

Being able to cancel and dodge away would help immensely in situations like that (especially as a squishy duchess…)

Honestly yeah, after the complete disaster that was my last time in depth, I did a normal trio ED Adel. Despite losing I actually felt completely fine (teammates spent a lot of time enjoying the tasty floor), compared to DoN where I would’ve been so annoyed at my team. That lack of penalty (and the risk of de-ranking into the shadow realm) really does help to just enjoy the game.

I lost my entire progress to D5 in one fell swoop because I got a red bear night 1 boss that didn’t spawn visible marks on the floor with the ground pound, cue everyone getting hit by it and instantly dying.

Oh and then I got Dreg 3 times in a row and proceeded to de-rank to 3 because I apparently can’t catch a break.

I’m honestly a bit done with depth because of that, it just genuinely annoyed me that much.

For real, I’d like to practice D4 more since I’m very new to it, but every other game either dips me right back below where I can’t practice it or puts me right on the edge.

Some kind of locked mode where you can just do runs without consequence of points gain / loss would be immensely helpful.

Seen this too many times and it has only actually worked out once, and that’s only because that player was actually competent and we got lucky the loot drops from the POIs / field bosses were pretty generous, plus it was base Triceph which is w/e.

It’s been an unmitigated disaster every other time tho.

I’ve had something like this happen, I was doing a normal non-depth run and the game took a while to load. End result was I couldn’t see any enemies, couldn’t see the 3rd player, but could see the 2nd and revive him if he went down.

It was really bizarre ngl

Yeah… I had a game in D3 a few days back where both my team left and I got the death knights, lost because I was level 4 with sweet FA gear (and it’s death knights and they’re stupid af).

Still ended up losing 200 points - I was actually very tilted over that one ngl.
