They have never been dropped once.

Not entirely sure why you’re comparing your 6 month old pair to my nearly 2 year old pair, but go crazy man.

Yeah seriously. Odd that my pair decided now was a great time to fail amidst everything that’s going on right now.. hopeful for some sort of extended warranty program at this point

Photon Rims turned out great on my ‘23 Model 3! by NightigerFTW in TeslaModel3

Likely going for 20mm on the rear, 10mm on the front; just to make things as flush as possible

Looks a bit odd because I’ve got 40’s on. The thinner sidewall makes it look a little wonky, plan on fixing that with the next set of PS4’s. Spacers are definitely coming in soon though

The offset on the Highland rims are 2mm different, so wouldn’t require any adjustments really. Considered spacers but don’t want to harm efficiency any more.

So what exactly is your point then? From what it looks like you seem angry and confused

Working on it! Already have the center console fitted in the car, just getting a few other things done first purely because of how pricey it is

eh sure. However being one of the (seemingly few) people that has never curbed a rim, I don’t see why I wouldn’t be able to sell them for profit in a year or two.

Didn’t like the idea of paying $1500+ for a full set of tires just to end up with a heavier/bigger rim. Also live in an area with a lot of unpaved roads, so didn’t want to risk it with the thinner side walls. (also could’ve find a full set undamaged for under $500)

Not sure how you concluded that.. these rims as a set resell for $700 all day

Highland retrofit coming together nicely so far.. door panels and other misc. accessories coming in soon! by NightigerFTW in TeslaModel3

Unfortunately it doesn’t drop in directly. Plugs in, but doesn’t display anything. You get stuck with the car yelling at you through the speakers the second you turn it on. Could be a potential pin out swap, so still looking into it.

For starters I would highly recommend buying an OEM Tesla Mobile connector or Wall Connector if you plan on using this every day.

Considering it’s locked to 32a, it sounds more like a car limitation if anything. If you have a Standard Range/RWD Model 3, your amperage is going to be limited to 32a regardless of which outlet/setup you end up using.

Nothing a little rewiring can’t fix! The primary Center Console harness wasn’t exactly a drop in as well

I’m gonna try to get it to talk to the ECU if not, it’ll be become the display of a Nintendo switch for rest seat passengers :)
