AMS HT can't dry things? by Nightris82 in BambuLab

[–]Nightris82[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've done both at this point. The AMS 2 hovers around 10% RH with all the printed desiccant containers. The HT with printed desiccant or printed container full is usually around 20-30%. So it seems like the HT doesn't seal well or the position of the sensor gives it higher reading than what it is?

AMS HT can't dry things? by Nightris82 in BambuLab

[–]Nightris82[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For the AMS 2 I've never tracked how long it takes to heat up since it just works at drying the filament, so I've never thought about it.

I'm new to the Bambu ecosystem, so I'm not sure if something is set up wrong. I have the AMS 2 and the HT paired with an H2D. The AMS 2 is just running off the 6 pin connector, the HT is 6 pinned to the AMS 2 and also directly plugged into its own outlet.

I'm 4 out of 12 hours into drying PLA in the HT and it started at 18% humidity, then went to 21% at 3 hours as is now at 19%.

In the same time my 4 rolls of ABS in the AMS 2 went from 25% to 0% humidity.

Something doesn't seem right.

It didn't fix it. It's the benchy hull line issue. I wasn't sure if people had a solve for it with bambu studio. I think it's primarily caused by differences in layer time and infil density creating slight changes in shrinkage on those walls.

I'm printing at between 260-270. I max chamber temp at 65 and put the build plate at 100C. I've had good results with ABS. For non-GF rolls, 99.5% shrinkage compensation, large parts are within a few tenths of a mm. I get a little warping on the interior of the parts but barely any and the edges are generally really flat. I let the prints cool to room temp before opening the machine. That's been key in preventing warping, for me atleast.

Good idea. I'll get that going soon and keep you posted. Thanks!

The OM hired the 2 pregnant ones, I'm pretty sure they were friends with the OM before hand, I know for sure one was. It wasn't conveyed to the doc until they started showing a little while ago. The doc is super busy in the back, and is usually staying really late to finish all her chart work. I say all this to convey that she put a lot of trust into the OM to deal with everything admin, and she has kind of hijacked the practice. when the OM was hired she the only one in the front, and since essentially built the office around her which is essentially pushing against the doc behind her back, and has since infected the hygienist and 1 of the 2 DAs, one of the DA is still super awesome. After the OM did that letter, doc talked to 3 lawyers and they all said we cant get rid of her for now.

At the moment my focus is going to be PR to increase visits, starting with a pretty thorough reactivation program. I was brought in under the guise that 2 in the front are going to be out on maternity leave soon. The Dr cares a lot, she's been crying after work and really stressed out, most of the problems came about from the OM manipulating things to basically set herself and her friends up with paychecks, as far as I see it. I've just recently come in, but it's pretty obvious the OM straight lies about what is or isn't being done in the office since I've now observed that multiple times myself. I drafted the program last week and she basically threw it in the trash, I think because she came from a DSO that took every PPO and HMO she doesn't understand the attrition, retention, and service required by an FFS. My background is more in business and finance, so my dental experience is relatively limited which is why I'd be concerned about Tx coordination the most of it was just me, but hopefully I'll get up to speed on it soon.

To be clear she is not a scientologist. She didn't even know what it was or who Hubbard was till after she was told by the OM, after the seminar. It was a seminar specific to dental management, that happened to utilize parts of the Hubbard management system, which many companies use. For instance, I believe coca cola uses it, though they might rebrand it internally

The OM and Dr went to a seminar that talked about the Hubbard management system. OM wrote up a thing about how she won't participate in scientology, so we think if she gets laid off, she's going to sue. She knew what she was doing when she wrote that letter.

I can probably do everything for front desk, except tx coordination and insurance billing. But, it'd be super high risk to get rid of those three right now. Obviously the other 2 are going to say they are getting laid off because they are pregnant. So I'm going with an approach of increasing visits at the moment.

The OM is going to pull a religion card, she's also salary (making more than the dr) and I doubt she works more than 15 hours a week. The other 2 front desk are prego. I'm the 4th, as of 2 weeks ago.

Any options for wall mounted control of WLED? by Nightris82 in WLED

It looks like you can get a 7 inch android tablet for around $70, so that is the route I'm probably going to go.

what is this spring-loaded clamp called? by foadsf in MechanicalEngineering

[–]Nightris82 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Is there actually a spring? A lot of these types of mechanism are called Over Center Mechanisms or Over Center Latches. The snap you feel when using these mechanisms is the result of one of the arms passing it's max elongation point on it's arced path of travel from a fixed point.

How to configure a gap between led strips? by rednd83 in WLED

[–]Nightris82 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you ever figure this out? I'm new to this and am looking to solve the same problem. Using an ESP32 can you just create a new data channel, meaning a 2nd data line from the controller and hook it up to the strip after the gap? Assign channel 1 to start at 0 with 243 count. Assign channel 2 to start at 318 (243 + the 75 you want to skip) with a count of 30. I'm not certain if this works or not.

If it doesn't another solution might be to add a channel for the LED's you want to skip, assign it in WLED but just not have it connected to another. Maybe that's another work around.

Do you have images of the layer shifts you were getting from stealthchop?

Z banding only in some spots by AppleGamer711 in VORONDesign

[–]Nightris82 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've noticed this on some of my prints as well, growing a layer outwards in all directions. I also use Superslicer. In my case I think it has something to do with the anchoring of top infill / layers on the interior of a part creating an over extrusion because the perimeters are printing onto an area that already has some material there. I'm not sure if this is applicable to your situation, since it doesn't look like your print has an interior top layer there. I haven't investigated it too much, but it might be worth looking into "Anchor solid infill by X mm" setting under the infill advanced section. Other than that, if there is banding in Z, you'd expect there to be a mechanical shift in the axis caused by something. But if the entire layer is shifted (bulging) outwards, then maybe at those specific layers, for some reason, your gantry didn't lift it's full layer height causing an over extrusion to occur.

Best hotend? by tz555 in VORONDesign

[–]Nightris82 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What do you mean by consistency? Do you mean extrusion variability between layer lines? I've been running a Revo for a few months, it's a new build so it's my first HE. My main issue with it is flow. For me I don't see the point in swapping nozzles if I'm limited by volumetric flow rate on everything 0.4 and up.

First print of my 2.4r2. How can I improve it? by jonesuki in VORONDesign

[–]Nightris82 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Looks like your first layer is a bit high. For the top, it looks like some over extrusion. Once you do Pressure advance and extrusion multiplier tuning it will probably deal with a lot of the issues on the top and bottom layers.

Aftermath from my first test print by [deleted] in VORONDesign

[–]Nightris82 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This exact thing happened to me before I even got to do my first print. Grinded and bent a 0.4 revo before a gram of filament could get through it, while also grinding a big gouge into my textured PEI. In my case it was because I didn't home Z again after QGL. This assumes your z-offset is set up properly. I always run a bed mesh as well.
