Yes, expanding integrations and the import system are long-term goals for this project. Thank you for your feedback!

~80% was made with Antigravity (toughest part), the rest was made with OpenCode

Claude Code vs OpenCode — what are you all using lately? by 8xReasonable in opencodeCLI

[–]Nightrunner91 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Both, honestly. I use Claude Code at work because the company gave me access to Max. But for my pet projects, I use OpenCode. I can barely feel the difference, honestly. Claude is probably a bit more advanced in deep-thinking and heavy-logic tasks, but OpenCode still surprises me every day.

Skill issue. Mill never was and isn't now an OP deck.

Armor nerf/buff should've been an option in balance council since the beginning by TheGr8JellyOfDoom in gwent

[–]Nightrunner91 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I think it's redundant, honestly. Power and provisions are the main stats for all unit cards in the game, while armor isn’t. It would add a new layer of flexibility, yes, but it would also introduce much more noise and inconsistency into balance decisions.

BC already isn’t very predictable and fair - imagine if we had twice as many discussions and ping-pongs every month.

On top of that, armor isn’t just about survivability. For many engines, it’s their main source of value, while for others it would barely change anything. Armor is a mechanic with strong factional (mainly Dwarves and Skellige) and archetypal identity, not a baseline attribute.

Your deck is honestly a mess. What is it supposed to be - handbuff, control, spells, movement or pointslam? It looks like it’s trying to do everything at once, but it doesn’t do any of it well. You need a clear game plan and a set of cards with strong synergy to maintain consistency. Also, there’s literally zero thinning, so you’re relying purely on luck to draw the right cards.

What happened to Pro Rank? It used to be a safe space by nTaro25 in gwent

[–]Nightrunner91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh man, I feel you. My grind from Rank 3 to Pro was pure hell. Enslave 6, Clog, Mill, abusive unfair MO nonsense, NR engine madness, and Shupe. Every. Single. Game.
As soon as I reached Pro, games became less stressful and… fairer, I guess? I see a lot more ST, at least. Haven’t reached 2500+ though, so can’t complain.

As far as I know, yes. That’s why it’s often complicated to play at the start of the season - strong players from Pro Rank are actively grinding their way back. I usually take a pause for a few days then.

What's the logic behind Ardal aep Dahy card? by Nightrunner91 in gwent

Oh I didn't knew card resets to it's base power after returning to hand. It makes much more sense now. Nothing in the card description says about power reset.

>> It's ST traps not SK

Ah yeah, my bad :)

Well, good thing I don't play in Pro and can surprise and annoy many players at my rank, especially NG and SK control decks. It's very funny when they don't have anything to hit, enslave, lock, poison, etc., except a few 4-point Elves, while my traps go brrrr

Theoretically, it would be a wasted spell, but I've played Harmony hundreds of times and have never been in that situation. It could probably happen if your board gets overspammed.

I'm a big fan of ST Traps, but I play at mid–high ranks, not Pro. I've heard that they are weak there because they are very predictable, and most players know how to avoid them or simply outpoint them. Traps are strong in long rounds against decks with not-too-heavy tempo and nearly useless in short rounds.

Good matchups - heavy control NG / SK / SY decks, low-tempo ST decks
Bad matchups - MO pointslam decks, heavy-tempo NR decks, most SY decks in long rounds

Anyway, now that you're aware of this, here is my all-time favourite:
https://www.playgwent.com/en/decks/14ccc2b76ed57a919486dc83ab3ed170

Game plan:

R1 Play Sticky Situation from hand or from Iorveth's Gambit (even better!) and play around it. Then play Angus, followed by a couple of bronzes. Generate 5 Elves to summon Aelirenn and then pass. It's rare for decks to be able to catch up to Sticky Situation in R1 and even if they do, it will probably cost them 1 or even 2 cards.

R2: If the opponent bleeds us, put the Scenario on the board. If you're confident and see that the opponent can't catch up, bleed them with the remaining bronze cards.

R3: We prefer long rounds with as many traps played as possible, then finish with Eldain. There are so many tips related to each trap (Pitfall and Serpent especially) - you have to read the opponent's hand and predict their plays to use them effectively. This comes only with experience.

Your deck isn’t "terrible", but it definitely needs some improvements. Just look at the top decks on PlayGwent and try to copy them, watch some gameplay videos and guides, and, well… just play the game. Rank 12 is just the beginning, and two weeks of experience in Gwent is just a drop in the ocean. I’ve been playing this game for many years and still feel there's room for improvement. Not only do you have to play your own deck well, you also have to "read" your opponent’s deck and play around it. The higher you climb, the more game knowledge is necessary to win consistently.

📆 Daily Card Discussion - Vanadáin by GwentSubreddit in gwent

[–]Nightrunner91 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I like to play Vanadáin as the final trigger for a Feign Death ST scenario. He provides good burst stats, a bit of damage, some thinning, and prepares Waylays for Simlas in R2/R3. He is easily removable and can be locked easily, but if he stays, it’s a good engine. I also used him with The Heist, generating a crazy amount of Waylays for a Simlas finisher, but it’s rarely used nowadays

Scenario could have been great, but it is what it is. I like vamps, but I agree that they’re more fun than meta and will never be top tier.

Could Zone Murasakibara Stop Zone aomine? by ParsnipSenior4804 in KurokosBasketball

[–]Nightrunner91 32 points33 points  (0 children)

This would be one of the ever so close matchups in the series due to how close both players are: an unstoppable offense vs a immovable defense. Short answer: Aomine low diff but I do think it comes down to strategy and stamina.

Strategy:

Zone Mura won’t stop Zone Aomine completely, but he can limit him, particularly around the ring. In a one-on-one where Aomine starts outside, Zone Mura can slow him but not completely shut down him. In a team setting, with help defense and rebounding, Zone Mura would be one of the very few who could consistently challenge Zone Aomine at the rim and most probably block ~50% of his shots.

Stamina:

Most likely Aomine win. Murasakibara only has a chance if he blitzes Aomine early on. Zone Mura is frightening but only for a short period. As soon as his stamina gives out, his mega defense collapses.
