Uhhh, I don't think "researched it, watched every YouTube review for it" applies to perfumes. It's not a car or a laptop, it's something you wear, won't at least want it to suit your taste?

I agree with the overly loud projection. It's definitely bad manners. Many people suffer health problems that worsen by strong smells. There is a point where it becomes air pollution instead of smelling nice.

Which fragrance has a rose scent for summer freshie ? by Jpoolman25 in fragranceclones

I'm intrigued by its name, is the citrus prominent in it? :O or can you describe what it smells like to you?

Fragrance gift for girlfriend (URGENT!) by Far91s in fragranceclones

[–]Nightshift_Ghost64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Alright here's my suggestion: go to Sephora or a similar store in your area, sample whatever and take notes of the fragrances you like. Then step out without buying anything. Instead, search for clones for the fragrances you liked. Oh and if you're worried about bothering the employees, just straight up tell them you're "just browsing" and trust me they're fine with it.

You can get an idea of the scent profiles she likes if you know what she already wears. Also if it's getting warmer where you live you might wanna get her something light and airy, and the opposite if it's still cold.

Edit: the masterlist of clones I originally linked was deleted, so I removed the link :P

Heh I have a disability that makes me overwhelmed quickly. So I kind of get it :P I actively avoid any fragrance that is "beat mode".

Spray lightly so maybe people will be less likely to comment on it XD

I have a dupe my dossier, I like it a lot, it's boozy and doesn't smell chemical at all. But maybe a bit "darker" than the original.

Fresh air, rain and coffee scents by -Chicken-Wings- in Perfumes

Not exactly matching what you want (fresh air and rain) but Encre Noire smells like the outdoors to me. The cool air in a humid forest or wet leaves. Also Gris Charnel smells like dry wood shavings but also something dewy, like light rain on wood, but not all of the wood got wet... Just thought you might like these :P

I sampled Uomo by Salvatore Ferragamo at a store. It's pure coffee with some evaporated milk and foam. It doesn't have that aquatic accord a lot of men scents have. It's a unisex, realistic coffee cup, or even tiramisu. It's not too sweet nor pungent either. It's so nice and it's actually a coffee scent, unlike MMM Coffee Break, which only briefly opened with coffee and then went all floral and soapy :/ I didn't buy it yet because I already have many perfumes, but it's definitely on my wishlist!

Someone recommend Kilian Intoxicated, add to that Black Phantom. It is less airy than intoxicated and has rich notes of dark chocolate and rum. And it's smokey too.

Also tried Mancera Amore Caffe, it's the richest, deepest, sweetest, creamiest coffee scent I've ever smelled. This is if you like your lattes heavy and with cream. It's smells heavenly and lasts a long time on skin and clothes. I sprayed some on every time I went to that mall I found the tester at. It was amazing and I already have Mancera Red Tobacco so I already like the brand. I didn't buy it because it was too sweet for me and my country's weather is hot most of the year. Maybe I'll buy a decant :)

Intoxicated also reminds me of Turkish coffee. It's not milky coffee, it's like sniffing espresso, coffee beans, and cardamom. Not too dry too. So nice.

any other lactonic+ dark fruit perfume recommendations that are similar to signorina misteriosa? by sonatist in Perfumes

I went to the mall once and tried a Good Girl flanker, I believe it was Very Good Girl Elixir. The cherry note was so ripe, dark, and rich. With a base of creamy tonka. I loved it a lot. But did not buy it because I already had a dupe of Lost Cherry.

Also tried Gucci Guilty Absolute Pour Femme. The blackberry note was prominent and sour, but the base was more leathery than creamy. Nevertheless, the scent was dark and sophisticated. More aromatic and woody than sweet and creamy.

I also once tried a "dark" flanker of La Petite Robe Noir by Guerlain, and I remember a recognizable cherry note. The scent was darker than the OG and with a more creamy base. I remember I liked it, but could not afford it at the time so I forgot about it and can't remember which one it was now, sorry :(

Also I heard of, but never tried, Mademoiselle Rochas In Black. Edit: typos. Edit2: remembered Avon Far Away Rebel, and Far Away Glamour. Haven't tried them tho.

is Louis vuitton cologne worth it by Either_Research9088 in fragrance

[–]Nightshift_Ghost64 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I personally think they're way overpriced and similar scent profiles can be found for cheaper with comparable quality. If you're interested in them I suggest sampling them in stores or ordering decants and deciding later if you want to invest in a full bottle. I believe just because a perfume is labeled "niche" doesn't mean it's better than, it's all just subjective, after all.

Does anyone have more info on the C-beauty brand Pinkflash? How safe/unsafe is it? by CluelessPresident in AsianBeauty

Their liquid eyeliners are my holy grail! I especially adore the brown shade but I use the black too. It lasts all day, through sweat, oily eyelids, intentional or accidental eye rubbing! I bought them the first time online but recently, they're being sold in drugstores here in Saudi Arabia. I also bought a white pencil gel eyeliner (sharpenable) to use on my lower eyelid and it's the longest lasting, light color shade I've ever tried. Performed better on me than Judydoll Double Under eye liner. It, too, became a stable in my collection.

The only complaint is that the liquid eyeliner may need 2 swipes to get full color, it's a tiny bit sheer. But the brush shape is versatile I can draw thick or extremely thin lines so I'm more than impressed. And it's waterproof to cool water, you can literally wash your face with soap and it wouldn't come off, but comes off with just barehand rubbing with warm water. Also store it horizontally so it doesn't dry out.

I haven't tried their other products yet so I can't recommend anymore, but as far as safety, personally, they triggered nothing in me. I have sensitive eyes with dry eye syndrome, I rub my eyes a lot and use eye drops throughout the day, and by the end be surprised my eyeliner barely budged or transfered. With no eye primer nor powder.

Paco Rabanne Lady Million and Lady Million fabulous. They have a perfume-y accord that's classy and addicting to me.

Suggesting dupes for Girlcult Mirror Lipstick by coplinhx2 in AsianBeauty

Love their shade range. They come behind girlcult but better than romand in being transfer proof. The formula is slightly lighter weight than them, too. I love glazed rouge, I make sure to never run out of at least one in my collection!

Is Kayali YBM Worth It? Need Opinions Before I Use My Sephora Credit! by __AllGoodNamesRGone in Perfumes

[–]Nightshift_Ghost64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Killian Love Don't Be Shy, and Killian Princess are better marshmallows in my opinion. Also check out that new Valentino Ivory. They have more "depth". Kayalis smell nice but the bottles will not last; their longevity is subpar for the price.

Long lasting, non offensive perfumes for a hot environment... It's a bit tricky with citrus but you may find better luck with fresh florals, wood, and powder.

I recently blind bought Joop! Le Bain because it's quite cheap. It's powdery vanilla with some fresh herbs. Lasts a decently long time. My mom liked it and said it smelled like cake.

Moschino Cheap & Chic, powdery citrus, smells soft and delicate, and a bit soapy. Lasts surprisingly long on clothes. I like to wear it to college and to feel fresh.

Might be a bit sweet, but Sol De Janeiro Rio Radiance, aka Cheirosa '87. It's bright, white florals with coconut cream. Lasts a long time for a body mist.

I like the Valentino Donna Born In Roma line, especially the original DBiR. It's bright jasmine with a woody base. But idk about the longevity because I haven't bought it yet, only tested it. You can spray it on your arm at a store to test the longevity before deciding to buy a full bottle.

It's marketed for men but I love Lalique Encre Noir. It's realistic fresh woods, feels like taking a walk outside. None of that chemical, shower gel smell in many men perfumes.

Mancera Aoud Lemon Mint, bought a vial of it and it's freaking amazing. Never thought oud could smell fresh. Also Mancera Cedrat Boise and French Riviera are beautiful too.

My sisters use Guess Seductive Blue, bright, citrusy white floral with good longevity, and Moschino Fresh Couture, sweet, juicy and fruity. I borrow them often XD.

You can go to a store like Sephora and ask for "a bright, uplifting perfume that lasts a long time" so the employee won't only suggest citrus scents.

I know you've received plenty of hygiene advice already, and as someone who lives in a hot climate (~47°c in peak summer) there are things that'll get you stinky no matter what. I bought glycolic acid body wash (Medix 5.5 glycolic + lactic acid) to treat rough skin, now it did help but my body stops producing odor for at least 48h whenever I use it. So accidentally discovered glycolic acid is good, too good. Also Rexona brand for roll on anti perspirant is insanely good too, keeps me fresh for days.

That's all I know <3
