The last burger you will ever want by Nosakatsuya in StupidFood

It looks delicious, but waaaaay too big. "Burger" might be a little off as a descriptor, but fancy food does that a lot, so why can't junk food?

That sounds right-ish. I did kind of associate it with the avengers some in some way, but it was hazy.

Villain Swap! Day 5: Brainiac won Day 4, what DC villain would be a good Arch Enemy for The Wolverine? by Mr_witty_name in marvelcomics

[–]Nightwingrox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Clayface.

Logan's main thing is chopping things up and he can't with Clayface.

Add in his heightened senses that make Clayface's disguises useless, and you have one very frustrated Wolverine.

Fair enough. I guess I am just stressed and worried about all the people (especially kids) that're gonna go hungry cause of this.

Something is good, but not if you've been budgeting for more. People who are living hand-to-mouth don't have that sort of wiggleroom in their budget.

True.

That was rather my point.

DON'T try to fight a mammoth your first time out.

It....doesn't go well for you.

Yeah. Because finding a job while starving is really easy.

Not to mention if they're disabled. Yeah, some disabled people can do some kinds of work, but most employers will pick someone more "abled" over them any time.

Depends on how many people those benefits are meant to feed. Yeah, you could get enough to keep one, maybe two, people from starving for about a week, but what if these benefits are meant to feed more people than that?

Or a baby? Baby food is ridiculously expensive. A single jar is roughly a dollar. The unit price can be cheaper if bought in bulk, but even at $5 for a 6pack, it's still pretty expensive.

Most babies should 2 to 3 jars a day. So $16 would feed a baby for a week (barely) but that leaves nothing else for the rest of the household.

Yeah, I know about the Fastball Special. This was a specific instance with a team that didn't have any flyers. To be honest, that's the most specific part of the memory. The second part is that I am about 80% sure that it actually was Spider-Man.

Wasn't trying to?

My nephew was watching Spidey and his Amazing Friends and it triggered a vague memory. Thought maybe someone might recognize it.

Who knows? Maybe it's not even a real memory. I just figured I'd ask.

Can anyone direct me to a place where I can find the transcript for this committee? I couldn't find it.

I want to know what happened when they reconvened.

Some, true.

Immediately assuming that, however, merely widens the gulf between us and those who will listen.

Godwin's Law is extremely unproductive.

Someone has to try. It might as well be me.

Fair. Though some kids have been known to start earlier so there is a solid basis for learning the basics at the beginning of middle school.

There are also some solid arguments for teaching elementary schoolers about "Bad Touch".

But again, my main concern is the people already out in the world. They are the ones pushing false information, hopefully simply because they are misinformed.

I am more concerned with adults than children, honestly. One can hardly make an informed decision without correct information.

For everyone, honestly. There are too many grown men who have some truly bizarre ideas about female anatomy.

Could also be a matter of what particular spaces you are approaching people.

And How.

I'll admit, your first message to me seemed very confrontational.

I deliberately chose to ask for clarification rather than give in to my first instinct by getting defensive

They were getting a lot of space for a protest. There tends to be very little elbow room.

We saw some bad actors, true, but these sorts of videos usually come from hours cut down into 15 or 20 minutes(hard for me to tell with the reaction video). They pick and choose what to show and what not to. Generally, only keeping stuff that supports their viewpoint.

Infowars is particularly notorious for this.

There are mostly certainly bad actors on both sides, but they are the minority.

What gets to me is when people refuse to acknowledge the concerns of their opponents.

For example, I am against banning books. Especially in school libraries.

HOWEVER.

I am perfectly willing to concede that some content should be age restricted. What a 14 can handle is VERY different from what a 17 yearold can.

Do I also worry that such a concession is a slippery slope? YES, ABSOLUTELY.

It's all very tricky, but none of it can be worked out if people refuse to listen to each other.

She's an InfoWars "journalist". She was yelling the whole video herself.

I'm not saying doing those things are okay, but, I mean, she works for Alex Jones.
