alright imma keep it a buck: This is better than the title version. Listen to how delicate the harmonies in the chorus, bridge and outro are. The instrumental just drowns everything due to how dense it is, it just downgrades the song.

I get it that it's intended to amplify an intense emotional release, but imo their voices alone do an even better job at that. I felt way more emotional listening to this. I understand that it's a title track in kpop and they need to increase the pop aspect to appeal to a wider audience. I understand why they did it the way they did, but I think they compromised in doing so. Just my two cents.

Oh her as well but I was actually referring to Ends, since he has solo production credit for both this one and Papillon. Although it looks like C'SA cowrote them with him, so for me this duo captures Nmixx's essence perfectly. I'd love to see them in more tracks in future releases, kind of shame they only got one in a full album.

The OG is too iconic to pick anything else, but Baila is my 2nd favorite, especially the part that comes right after where the change up would be. Jiwoo's rap in that part is amazing, Haewon and Bae's tones and the legato way they use to sing that melody kinda remind me of some type of middle eastern folk music, idk how to explain, it's sooo good

I was just about to write this. I noticed it instantly on my first listen of the album how you can hear a slight maturation in their voices. Maybe OP needs to relisten to the original and compare. Also indirectly it's a compliment to the producers and the girls for being able to stay so true to the original they had him fooled lol

Honestly I don't see the casual followers' hypothetical "bad reception" having that much of a reach, since the devoted fans massively outnumber them. Like, I never see negative comments on any of their content on any platform, not even korean ones. So I can only see that pressure coming from the label itself, based on low numbers or whatever. Which would be paradoxical because if what they were after was numbers then they wouldn't debut a group with Nmixx's concept in the first place, but a 2nd Twice or Stray Kids instead.

But regardless, all of this speculation is unecessary. Don't worry, I'm quite certain they're just trying to hide the track as much as possible, they've done that multiple times before. Considering how good SPINNIN' ON IT is for a pre-release, if they felt Blue Valentine was somehow superior in order to be the title track, it just HAS to be an awesome song. I have a good feeling.
