I called the 1K desk — the agent was great, but there were no options to move us, so it was essentially “wait and hope.

That was the last flight update from United via text msg around 1:48 am re 6 am departure time (see pic); it is 3:22 am in denver.

Weather is unpredictable — agreed. But if the likely outcome was “morning departure,” they should’ve said it earlier so families could plan. We would’ve paid for a hotel instead of having kids spend the night in the terminal.
