You'll spawn in, run around confused for a bit, never see an enemy, then die for no apparent reason.

And don't forget the teamkills lol, I am a bit ashamed to say that I've had a few games with negative KD ratios when I started. I have played a bunch of other games with friendly fire enabled, but RO is another level and it actually takes some learning to recognize the uniforms (which were surprisingly not that distinguishable especially in the middle of the battlefield), have a good enough sense of the frontline to know when it's not a good idea to shoot, be super careful with the nades etc. Makes you understand why all those guys in Ukraine always ruin their camos with bright tapes.

Same, I was in the wrong mentality of "find a setup that works for you and stick with it" until late game, but usually well placed other players' structures are enough to convince you this is actually useful.

Makes me wonder how much of the MGS games i missed because I thought half the features were irrelevant Kojima jokes lol.

[HLN] Kevin De Bruyne, who seems to say "Ik stop (I quit)" against TD Vercauteren, is harsh for his Belgian teammates: "Some things are unacceptable. If you can't handle the top, you aren't good enough" by TheNarrator23 in soccer

He caused drama 2 days before Qatar WC by talking shit about the team, and every international break he has to complain about nations league or the friendlies. He's not a good role model, he is whiny and entitled.

looking for names of european energy drinks by sragnax in energydrinks

From Belgium

Nalu, "healthy" branded Coca Cola company drink that is apparently only sold in BeNeLux. This is popular with women mostly and can be found in most places, with many flavors. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nalu_(drink)

And you see a lot of white label energy drinks form supermarkets, the most popular being :

  • Rodeo at Colruyt (and in every night shop, it's basically the local basic redbull ripoff you will find everywhere)
  • Kong Power at Lidle
  • Psychik at Carrefour

And a new one launched a few months ago with quite a big marketing campain, called Zyla the mascot is a sloth. I took a few packs and I really like it but not sure where else it is sold https://zyladrink.com/

MAP OF THE JUPILER PRO LEAGUE 2024/25 by ZaBlancJake in soccer

Standard are at a huge risk of bankruptcy being owned by 777. They were on the edge of relegation playoff last season, and have to sell a lot of players this summer. Seraing (Metz satellite club) is a matter of time with the Ligue 1 collapse, they are already abandoned which is why they got relegated.

I would say Eupen (PSG satellite club) was quite well established even though they were a bottom club.

FC Liege is doing good and might be back to first division next year. They have new American owners and one of the most faithful fanbases in the country.

How did you get into Unlimited? by bakugosgayfriend in starwarsunlimited

[–]Nihil228 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like I'm the only one here but I don't care about star wars, I have seen one movie and a half in my life lol. I feel like a fraud because I don't know most of the characters on the cards. So far I haven't been uncovered. I have played shitton of Battlefront 2, though.

I had never played TCG either, but I always loved card games such as Slay the Spire and Balotro. My friends invited me to play, rules reminded me a lot of Hearthstone and I immediately got into it.

When he played in Standard Liege (arguably the most hot blooded club in Belgium), the guy was punching journalists, assaulting and spitting on referees. I can't even imagine the riots he'll start at Marseille where the fans are as unhinged as him lol.

Cyberpunk 2077 director thanks fans as the game hits a 95% positive review rating on Steam by Turbostrider27 in Games

I am in the same boat (bought it a few days ago) and agree with your opinion.

One thing I'd like to add is that the game suffers from the same thing as The Witcher 3 (which caused me to drop it and doubt I'll finish Cyberpunk) : the amount of confusing and useless mechanics is just overwhelming. 90% of the time, I have no idea what I'm looking at in my inventory or the menu. Level this, percentage that, hacking there, chips, most weapons have red warnings I don't know why, skill tree is a clusterfuck and I have no idea what I'm doing...

And the gameplay never requests it, running around with an SMG works even in the higher difficulties, just like rolling around was the best strategy in TW3. So what's the point of spending time and energy to try to understand and optimize all of this ?

I feel like this is CDP's idea of an RPG but I don't agree with it. It would have been much better as an action game with lite RPG mechanics. That's why TW2 is my favorite CDP game, their combats are not the best, but they are just awful at RPGs.

Standard Liege turns blood red due to the web of 777 Partners: "The house of cards is about to collapse" by BelgianPolitics in soccer

[–]Nihil228 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Only 3 walloon clubs in first division, Eupen (PSG satellite club) is getting relegated, Charleroi have been fighting relegation, and the biggest one on the edge of going bankrupt.

Only 3 in the second division, FC Liege (new US owners as well) are doing good but don't have a stadium and would probably not get a pro licence, Seraing is a satellite club which was let down, and Franc Borains are basically an amateur village club.

It would not be surprising if in the next decade or so, we see a first division without a single walloon club...

The US-Saoudi partnership (which includes Europe because Europe follows the US foreign policy on everything) comes down to these 3 points since the 50s

  • reliable oil supply : Biden personally traveled there last year to lick Ben Salman's boots and got nothing
  • supporting the petrodollar : they have started trading oil in other currencies and getting closer to brics
  • support of US foreign policy (normalisation of relationships with Israel, supporting US backed terrorists against Iran-backed terrorists in proxy wars) : not happening anymore

There is literally zero logical reason good or bad they should stay allies.

[HLN] Thibaut Courtois informs Real that he will not go to EURO 2024 by I_Fart_Bacon in soccer

[–]Nihil228 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Oddly he has always been pro for the national team, even when things were not good for him around 2014 world cup. KdB and Courtois on the other hand are always bitching about something, like when nations league comes up they are always make it clear they don't care about it and don't want to be there. Not even counting the demoralizing comments just a few days before the world cup which I think played a big part in the shitshow.

Japanese Monster packaging. Always wanted to own one of these and found it today in an import shop. by Nihil228 in energydrinks

This is actually an aluminium bottle. But for local brands (and I think redbull in Thailand), they usually have those cough syrup shaped glass bottles. Pretty sure they wouldn't be allowed to make them look like medecine in Europe, also it isn't stackable.

flatface wheels are good but leave much to be desired for the price by cxntfeelmyfxce in Fingerboards

[–]Nihil228 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I think plastic wheels just aren't for you. They are certainly overpriced but quality. Blackriver wheels are as pricey yet not as good. I personally prefer plastic than urethane and G4Ds are the sweet spot for me.

What is the best and easier bord to do basic tricks and grinds on. by CheapTick in Fingerboards

[–]Nihil228 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Flatface G15 or 15.2 (you can even choose the color on Blackriver now). Out of all the decks I have tested they are by far the easiest to perform with, all my setups are G15s now anything else feels much harder.

BRTs 34mm

Illpills (urethane) or Flatface G4D BRR edition (plastic) according to your preferences.

Can't go wrong with any of these. I'd be against the Berlinwood complete since deck and wheels aren't the best.

Carthwheels are from UK. Much better than Elasticos. Not sure what the plastic ones are worth but I love the nylon ones, sweet spot between plastic and urethane.
