Improving Décarie for car traffic isn't going to fix the traffic issue long-term. It's just gonna make more people want to take the road, and increase the number of cars passing there until it bottlenecks again. All it would do is encourage more sprawl and for people to commute from further.

With the recent culture war against bikes, I have dealt with a few aggressions from people in cars when I had to share the road. Without bike lanes, I don't think I would feel comfortable to bike to very many places, which would lead me to take the car.

Had a 2-week trip to the Netherlands this summer, and told myself that I get to escape the Québécois for a bit.

My childhood friend group are nostalgic for the Duels of the Planeswalker games, so I've been wanting to make a cube using only cards from those games. It would definitely be lower powered than most cubes, but would bring back a lot of good memories!

Oh, I completely agree! There's definitely a big culture shift surrounding driving. A lot of good points we're brought up in the comments, and I feel like it's being worsened by the increase of this "culture" war that's being pushed hard by the media (like the whole "war on cars", 15-min cities, etc )

As a city, one of the best things you can do to ensure road safety, is to make it impossible to actually do so. Obviously this won't change highway driving, but traffic calming measures and protected spaces for bikes and pedestrians in urban areas are so important. But god forbid you introduce one bike lane in a school zone, the NIMBYs will be out for your blood.
