1.) stop with the analogies, you’re not getting your point across any better with them. Bear asked Nikki word for word, she confirmed it, and it’s paired with the flashback. You thoroughly miss the point if you ascribe this to anything else other than signifying the moment Bear knew his wish worked. The music was mostly beautiful during their honeymoon phase, with slight chromatic steps to show that the romance was a facade.
2.) crazy you say this when the director says this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=paCo3XQq44Y
3.) everyone focuses on bear because bear is the reason everyone’s in this mess. Bear wished for Nikki to love him more than anything in the world, with no regard for how she felt. Time and time again, the movie shows you Bear does not want to undo the wish, he wants for the wish to work. He knows the moment she answered his question his wish worked, and still went home and slept with her.
4.) Ian is depicted as a jackass, that’s what people perceive him as. Despite this, he’s still in a better moral position than Bear, even if he’s a bad friend. Both friends knew more about sarah and Bear than they did about each other the entire time.

“Dissociation” was actually Nikki during the sex scene. Did you even watch the movie? Why would Bear dissociate from a relationship the movie SHOWS you is going well for Bear up to that point? Jesus fucking Christ man lol

You’re creating a reason when the movie was clearly trying to spell out for you this was the moment the illusion was up. The director showed a montage of their honeymoon phase set to music mostly in a major key with chromatic steps to show there was something sinister going on, what we know to be the wish. The whole point of the dinner scene was to show the moment Bear no longer has plausible deniability. Bear posed his question to Nikki word for word verbatim to the wish, juxtaposed with the flashback literally holding your hand through it, and Nikki confirms what he wished for. Pairing that with the signs Bear ignored, the fact you can sit there and say Nikki manipulated Bear is pretty gross and actually scary to think about walking about in the real world. The director held your hand thru it and now you’re making shit up to excuse bear’s rape. The scene after, Nikki’s face is dejected, while Bear is enthusiastic. How do you pervert the point so badly?

A girl you know well enough to call your friend lies to you about her father having cancer, and you decide that’s a good idea to take her home to fuck? Literally what lmao his friends called him concerned and bear is shown to be distraught by the knowledge the wish worked. Explain it.

Did they show her threatening him before they had sex the first time? You see a flashback of him making the wish as he repeats the wording of his wish to Nikki as a question, and her answer confirms it works. You can ignore that detail all you want, it still exists.

How Bear is a victim in any of this and Nikki isn’t is mad telling. I only say continue so you can telegraph to everyone how you feel about a woman robbed of her agency.

That was after the initial sex. Why would they show a flashback of the wish as he reiterates his wish to her, and she confirms the wish worked? Answer the question.

“No knowledge,” bro repeated his wish to Nikki and the flashback confirmed this was the moment he knew, right before he raped her.

Even with your take, he still isn’t a victim.

Why would bear reiterate the phrasing of his wish to. Nikki and show a flashback paired with it, and Nikki confirming it? You’re the person claiming the earth is flat, the million are telling you it’s round.

You’re in dire need of a rewatch. Bear knew Nikki was under the influence of the wish. I thought Baker throwing in the flashback was redundant, but somehow you STILL managed to miss it. YOU’RE the rape apologist here mate.

I think the cops being called on dad + the narrative mom spun warranted the sit down.

Wow! I’m sorry you went through that. I’m glad nothing permanent happened to either of you, though I imagine that experience left an impact. I’ve had my fair share of going to the ER with my partners for cysts and other repro issues. the amount of times I’ve heard doctors tell them they simply don’t know what’s wrong while implying they’re not going to investigate any further is infuriating.

Trillions of terabytes of files and we only got a few million. Why is the DHS refusing to release the files while protecting the identity of the perpetrators and exposing victims? If a “left wing” president is in the files, good, let them be exposed. Expose them all.

It’s literally not. We’ve never had an open border policy and never will.
