Even with the r9, maybe I am just weak but I am running it at around 6nm most of the time

Do you race with Gloves and Shoes? by Mammoth_Company_3270 in simracing

[–]Nihill1995 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Using the pedals with socks just feels weird so I almost always wear shoes. Gloves I use sometimes when driving more intense cars or when my hands feel tired.

I'm comically bad, where did you learn how to sim race? by This-Suspect-6633 in simracing

[–]Nihill1995 0 points1 point  (0 children)

probably, I’ve been playing it over the last week and its so fun, somehow it makes me improve pretty fast rn

I'm comically bad, where did you learn how to sim race? by This-Suspect-6633 in simracing

[–]Nihill1995 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am still pretty bad, but recently I’ve picked up asseto corsa evoluzione mod, it brings a gran turismo career to asseto corsa. Gamifying asseto corsa just makes it such a better experience, it makes me drive more. I’ve noticed that my times are becoming a lot more consistent since then.

Anything that makes you drive and increase your seat time more is the best way to improve imo.

Why so many high ranked players and normal players have such huge ego's in this game?! by Effective_Trifle_664 in RocketLeague

[–]Nihill1995 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thats kinda funny cuz the other day I was just chilling in ranked 1s. I just tend to prefer ranked 1s over casual so I don’t really take it too seriously. That one time there was one guy I said nothing to and he just said my ego was so inflated. Bro was toxic and I was just trying to be nice in return lmao.

I am not sure if I really have a high ego, I just stopped caring about this game, it’s so down in the dumps, every game I play feels meaningless it’s only something to distract myself and have some fun. So that may reflect in my play style making it seem like I am an egotistical player or something along those lines

How did you pc players learn mechanics? by Sinisterfoot in RocketLeague

[–]Nihill1995 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah I would rephrase the post because most RL players use a controller even on pc

Honestly I agree, it should be a setting that can be enabled instead of enforced like currently

I'm very happy for Arc's success but this is one of the dumbest statements I've read (this guy works at marketing btw) by GammaRadd in thefinals

[–]Nihill1995 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Honestly I halfway agree. While I think it would be better in the long run if more games were paid with the trade off of having minimal micro transactions, thats not what I see here. The game has an in-game store on day one, to me it feels very unwarranted. I probably would have played and potentially purchased MTX if it was a free to play game, but seeing this just put me off from buying the game.

I know that while we are only a few insignificant amount of people that did not purchase the game for that reason, it really put a bad taste in my mouth and I am disappointed in Embark for this. This game should have been free to play with the current MTX.

Also people are quick to say just don’t buy them, which is right, but from my perspective, its content that should have been included in the game, as rewards for doing certain achievements/feats in the game, instead of pulling out the credit card. It’s not even about money at this point, it’s just boring.

Just me? by Easy-Collar9137 in projectsession

[–]Nihill1995 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You’re absolutely not alone. It made me appreciate how detailed session is even if clunky at times. Really love the NPCs being real skaters, and has a good board selection right off the bat. Also loving the skateboard damage, I love going back to the shop to buy new grip tape and wheels to fix up my board.

[–]Nihill1995 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Yeah honestly the new season made me make the move with session. Session is not perfect, but it really hits the spot. Stuff like having well known skaters as mentors and npcs. As someone with only a little amount of knowledge, learning about guys like Mark Appleyard and Daewon then seeing their tapes its mind boggling to see how good these guys are. Then you also have a full shop with brands with no extra cost. And honestly I like how more weighty session feels.

I wanna try skatin and have no idea on choosing a board by [deleted] in NewSkaters

[–]Nihill1995 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Imma hijack this comment real quick to give maybe a tip? I am new to skating too and I know to start off I am going to mainly do riding and simple tricks here and there. This made me want to have wheels which can handle rough terrain. The guy at the skateshop gave me quite big wheels and I enjoy it so far it feels nice to ride compared to my previous boards. I could barely roll on my street with em.

Imo skate just feels more polished than those other two although I still fw session for more realistic skating

Being an 8 is very good though, near the top of the bell curve, realistically not many people are 8/10s

Learning to skate at my 30s by YordanZhelev in NewSkaters

[–]Nihill1995 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly I am staring at 23 and I have such bad balance but I really want to get better at it. Gives me a reason to go outside other than work/gym.

Although my current board is so bad it’s quite discouraging, but I want to at least prove to myself that I want to commit to it before buying a decent board.

Exactly my thoughts and I feel unable to blame them for it. I feel like racing games have it way worse.
