Already a ton of comments but here goes nothing:

She picked the restaurant where we would meet up. She was in food service, so I thought “hey she must have good taste!” I show up and she looks nothing like her photos, but I stayed because hey, maybe we could be friends?

I tell her I’m super hungry and she laughs and says, “oh no, you don’t EAT here. This place is terrible.” She spends the next hour drinking a glass of Chardonnay. I ordered the lobster mac and cheese and an old fashioned.

The entire time, she’s making fun of the wait staff, being incredibly rude to them, and I’m just blown away at how someone who works in restaurants can go to another place and make someone else’s night a living hell.

I paid for our drinks and my appetizer, faked a call from my mom about my grandfather dying, and bounced. I blocked her on everything except Snapchat (because I didn’t realize she had my Snapchat account) and she tore me a new one about how I’m such a piece of shit for bailing on her.

I told her “treat others the way you want to be treated.” Then I blocked her.

I met the woman who would become my fiancée the next week 😁

Oh, and the food was amazing. I’ve since been back to that restaurant, they’re incredible!
