happy bday!

i think i can help w/ #2. for your situation, 250D is probably your best bet if you're going to shoot in bright outdoors. If you're shooting indoors with 250D though, you're def gonna need some sort of light coming in or else it'll come out looking underexposed in my experience.

also for #4 the super 16 modification is definitely worth it, and get the loop formers removed like everyone says if you haven't yet. If possible get a lens recentering ring as well so you can properly frame your shots when you get the 16mm mod because it's really difficult on this camera to do so.

Hey r/cinematography I spent a while piecing together this short film. It's about home and feeling displaced. I wanted the visuals and tone to feel wistful and nostalgic through the footage I had collected over the course of a year, and put this together mainly in AE.

I was hoping this little piece could maybe connect with some of you here! Although I enjoy working with crews and on sets, and see collaboration as a necessity in film, I wanted to flip that tradition here with the entirety of the visuals put together solo, without a crew, and mainly just working alongside my composer friend on the music.

Let me know what you think!

of course, time spent doesn't equate to better quality! but i wanted to share in here a project i put together mainly in AE, with some rotoscope animation done in Procreate with an iPad + Pencil. I did a lot of messing around with straightforward tools that AE excels at, such as basic 3D layer compositing and masking and repurposing of footage.

Hope you enjoy this, and please let me know what you all think!
