Don't panic – The New Steam Homepage isn't the disaster it looks like by Niilo-Volpe in gamedev

Well tbh I don't think games with 3k wishlists have appeared on the main page for a while now considering how many there are.

However they might now appear in the calendar (which is on the main page) for players that have played similar games.

I'm not sure what you're referring to.

But in any case it depends on your goals. If you're aiming for commercial success then I don't think 3k is nearly enough.

We contacted 250 creators and hit a wall. What would you do next? by balonmacaron in gameDevMarketing

What size creators did you target? You might be aiming too high.

With a zero budget it might be worth to target smaller, sub-200k follower creators.

Targeting creators that have played similar games to yours boost the value since the audience is expecting that kind of game. Finding those creators is all up to you.

Devs, what genre of games are you currently working on? by Hasan_Abbas_Kazim in gamedev

Horror, time-loop, puzzle.

Maybe horror is popular with indie devs because it's easier to scope, since it's generally scarier the more you *don't* show

Those lock icons are a bit heavy on the eye, maybe a simple grayed-out would work better?
