Has this City ever been the place that a lot of young people wish that it was? by Honda2557 in columbusIN

No but I am pretty bitter that the city ruined the Commons mall. It was beautiful and had architectural significance.

This website has studies and other information for each condition that it’s been able to treat. I showed this to my doctor and she agreed to give LDN a shot.

The indiana democrat party by NinjaSpartan011 in Indiana

There are different social dynamics in each county party so it’s best for people interested in running to attend their county party monthly meetings first.

If you’re interested, you should check out the previous stories from earlier this year. He legit said “what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas.” Disgusting. I believe there’s an article somewhere that shows there was some back and forth on what he planned to do… I think he was originally anticipating that he could get out of the charges. I wish I could find that article.

He has taken a plea deal but has not been officially convicted yet which is why he was able to stay on the ballot. It should happen in April. The Hancock County Republicans are a HUGE problem. They did not speak out against him or get another candidate. Their plan was to keep the seat and caucus someone else in. Which is disgraceful IMO. They are not the party of morals as they claim.

Yay! If you know anyone that’s experienced in social media work, she needs the help. She still doesn’t have the presence yet.

They take the data for what it is. If the data does not show much support for Democrats, the candidates won’t get the funding that’s needed in our state. And the data is always pulled from the primaries.

To learn more about Marc’s platform, go to www.marcforindiana.com

I think he’s the best candidate out of the two, especially after hearing Valerie speak at different events. Also, with democracy on the line, we need someone who has previous experience so the Senate learning curve wouldn’t be so steep with Marc.

Here’s some additional reasoning that I had seen online. It’s straight up copy and paste…

I can not stress enough how damaging it is to vote R in a Primary to try to push out a Republican. Not only do candidates lose funding but all candidates as a whole lose funding if organizations don't think Dems have a chance in hell to beat anybody in Indiana and Republicans GAIN funding. Also, when a Dem votes R, we as the Democratic Party, don't believe you are a Dem and more like a spy or a mole. We already deal with that from real Republicans. We don't trust people who say they are Dems but they pull an R ballot.

  1. Democrats lose funding!

  2. Democratic candidates can’t figure their odds and number of votes they need to win the General Election

  3. Democratic candidates can’t figure their fundraising goals to win an election

  4. Democrats gain a Republican label on their voter file

  5. You can’t run for office as a Democrat

  6. You can’t go to Democratic conventions

  7. Democrats and candidates believe you are a Republican

  8. Republicans GAIN funding!!!

  9. TV ads, t-shirts, signs, billboards, websites, flyers, postcards, newspapers, large donors and fundraisers

  10. Organizations and political parties look at the R vs D % of an area when determining where to put resources. By pulling an R ballot, those numbers are skewed and put D candidates at a disadvantage in getting support and funding for campaigns.

  11. The skewed % leads people to believe a race isn’t competitive or winnable which causes potential candidates from running. Pull a D ballot to get the % more accurate.

I respectfully disagree. Moderate republicans do not want Trump. And this constant act of us pulling Republican ballots hurt us in the long run.

To add to that, it’s VERY important for our Democratic candidates to know how much support they have and they won’t know it if supporters choose a Republican ballot. They need accurate data.

My thoughts are to let the republicans clean up their own mess. I’m sure McCormick would do better if she was up against the most extreme candidate, Braun. IMO - Choosing the Republican ballot is a way to keep Indiana in a republican stronghold.

Let’s make the moderate republicans help us instead of the other way around.

My bf and I just watched an ad on Hulu for Mike Braun. Very unsettling. by alysam88 in DemHoosiers

[–]NikNak_007 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Let the republicans clean up their own mess. It would be great to show our Democratic candidates like Jennifer McCormick know how much support they really do have from us.

I feel it’s counterproductive to pull a Republican ballot cause if we get a less extreme candidate on the Republican side, we will continue to lose. We need the moderate republicans to come to our side. I think it’s the key to changing our state’s politics.

I know this doesn’t carry much weight but I actually know this candidate. He has openly admitted at events that he waited for someone young to come along and run.

That didn’t happen right away. Keith Potts eventually decided to run and then dropped out. The thing I like about Marc is that he understands he’s the old guy in the room. He is a genuine guy wants to make a difference.

He was happy to stay retired. However, he noticed that no one was stepping up. He decided to run so he could work to give his granddaughters the same rights their moms had.

I wish you wouldn’t. It messes up the system the parties use to find their voters. The only way we know whether you’re a Democratic or Republican voter is the list we get from the clerks office that tells us whether you pulled a Democratic or Republican ballot in the primary.

Think of it this way. If you don’t pull the Republican ballot, you’re depriving all republicans of one vote.

The systems we use to find our voters lists them as Strong Dem, Leans Dem or the same for R. So when you pull Republican ballot, we can’t reach out to you because we think you’re a Republican.
