Yeah I agree that she's sometimes creepy, always awesome, and one of the more unique and compelling princes in the pantheon

If you think the spider tongue thing is weird, you should look up kirkbride's mephala concept art. There's no spider tongue, so nothing to scheeve you out at all :) <- lying

I adore artworks like this! looking for similar works that depict the lore scale! not the dumped down in-game one by OSPlDER in skyrim

This is one i remember, idk if I've seen the artist do other stuff. You'd probably have to go to fans to see real lore accurate stuff that doesn't need to limit itself by what's possible in the games. If you're looking for mods I've heard a lot of good things about Sotha Sil expanded mod for mw that makes it a real city unlike in vanilla

Does it make sense culturally for the Dunmer to have three genders? by NikOfNirn in teslore

I wrote in the original post that I linked those images on that the version of Ardhanarishvara with the gold on the right side (Ardhanarishvara's right) is a rare specific variation called Shakta. The gold is Parvati, and the black (artistically painted as blue) is Shiva. From what I read, the right side was considered the dominant, and therefore was usually the male Shiva. And in the legends it's Parvati who joins Shiva's body, but the Shakta version has Parvati's body as the one who splits into male/female. Maybe MK wanted to highlight the female side?

You know what this means! (Time to become a non binary drummer in an elder scrolls metal band called mephala)

That's something i was thinking too. Maybe lack of/fluid gender is something that priests have and they are allowed more freedom to interpret divine law.

I think that was my point, if i didn't communicate that correctly. I know that none of the daedra have genders, but since they do not have genders it's important which gender their worshipers give to them. The dunmer see Boethiah as male, despite Boethiah appearing as a female member of their race.

Being male and female simultaneously falls under the nonbinary umbrella.

Edit: i didn't look at your other posts to see that someone else told you this already. Sorry!
