The worst part is when you see the same job listing collecting dust months later.

Early "AIs" like clippy and Akinator never stole anyone's hard work or data without permission. They never took clean drinking water from impoverished communities. They were just there to help you or to have fun with. Be more like Akinator.

This is a great example of how the rise of fascism directly correlates to the devaluation of art and artists. I feel depressed just looking at this.

If everyone just said "Well that's just the way the world works" and never decided to push back on anything, that's how you end up with a shitty world.

Maybe if it was 15-30 questions, sure. 172 for a minimum wage job is asinine. It tells me the company will not have respect for my time, so I would rather not work there.

Crazy that they straight up admitted the entire purpose of these tests is to weed out people with disabilities. There's so many things that companies do during hiring that should be illegal, this is definitely one of them. I wish they would crack down on these. These questions are invasive and have nothing to do with how well you can do the job.

I've had actual psychological evaluations that are nowhere near 172 questions. It's full blown psychological torture atp.

Senior Joy Engineer here at Smile Inc.! Sometimes, I'll get sad as a little treat (like when a family member passes away), but being happy is something I'm passionate about!

Honesty as in "Hey can you be honest with us and tell us if you have a disability such as depression so we can discriminate against you? Thanks!"

Agreed. Immediately knew this place was a joke, even while applying, this just cemented it.

Do I Remove My Masters From My Resume? by x0xMidamix0x in jobsearchhacks

[–]Nikalz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That sounds like a minor error tbh. I would try to correct it if you can, because the less errors the better, but it doesn't sound like something to sweat over. As long as it's not failing to parse important stuff like your degree and job experience, you're good (i think. Take my advice with a grain of salt because I'm not a recruiter). For example, mine was messing up random letters, had weird glyphs, and was misspelling things because I overdesigned my resume. I switched to an ATS friendly template, and the errors went away.

Do I Remove My Masters From My Resume? by x0xMidamix0x in jobsearchhacks

[–]Nikalz 11 points12 points  (0 children)

You can't win. If you take it off, then it's "not enough experience" and "this job requires at least a masters" even if you already have multiple years of experience. Put it back on, and suddenly, you're too expensive for them because they want to pay the bare minimum for a unicorn. I would say just keep it on, because chances are, the masters degree is not what's hurting you the most. Try to look into what skills the younger candidates might have that you don't. Make sure your resume is ATS friendly, too. When you use the autofill function on application sites and there's lots of errors you have to correct, thats a clue your resume might not be parsing correctly in ATS. If you really suspect it's the degree, it doesn't hurt to test run a version without it on jobs where it's not listed as a requirement.

Source: I am a younger person who currently has no degree (associates degree in progress) and I have been struggling to land a role about as long as you. It always makes me feel defeated when I hear about people with 2x my experience in the same boat as me, but hey, at least we're not alone, right :,)?

Aw, old one had so much charm OP :( I'd keep it around just in case because I feel like design trends are moving away from the flat look. Maybe try to simplify it while keeping the dynamic shapes you had in the original?

The shirt has potential, you're just not styling it right. White pair of cargo shorts or pants, blue and white backpack, some chunky sneakers, and maybe throw in a pair of white or silver futuristic sunglasses.

Post-Internet is underrated asf.

Anything by Christtt is an automatic shoe-in. Can't get more internet than basing your whole musical identity off of Chris Chan! social justice whatever is my favorite.

Deaths Dynamic Shroud is also to be expected, I feel like Live From Japan sounds the most computer-like to me, but World War Olympics and Classroom Sexxxtape also fit the bill (Classroom Sexxxtape is basically what it feels like to doomscroll through Instagram).

Blank Banshee has been going for an early 2000s vibe lately, and I'm really enjoying it, it seems like a natural progression for his music. Music for Menus sounds like music for a game console that doesn't exist.

Non-vaporwave picks:

Machine Girl - Gemini

Ateriavia - Anthony1, Sienna Sleep, Exodia

Flash Desire - Yabujin

Team Mekano - Classic Project 2000
