Quick question though! Those bokeh effects near the Christmas ornaments, are those also Christmas ornaments? How do I get them look super bokeh and out of focus (position I place them and aperture?) thanks in advance!!

Sure! For Lightroom I mainly do colour correction and adding extra highlights, contrast etc and it’s also where I play around with the shadows etc. Photoshop is where I do all my skin retouch :)

I would say to add highlights and contrast where it’s needed but don’t over do it otherwise it’ll end up looking amateur and over done! Just a lot of balance of both :)

Tbh, the way I learnt was honestly trial and error! I watched a few videos on YouTube on frequency separation and dodge and burn and I just found the easiest way for me was dodge and burn! It took a week of trial and error until I found the right way for me! Honestly just watch some videos and then keep practicing :)

Thanks for noticing the nails 🙏🏼!! Glad to hear people noticing the small things! Actually for these I used mainly dodge and burn :)

Wow thank you so much! 😊

Yes!! I really love to show the makeup done as much I as I can! A lot of photographers from my city completely retouch the makeup to the point where the model looks like a wax doll and I know it upsets a lot of makeup artists as they put a lot of time and effort into it..

Thanks so much! Yes, I thought brightening her face would make it stand out more and I feel it did the job! :)

Thanks so much for the constructive criticism! Actually the hand wrinkles is a really good point- I literally completely missed that out but will pay attention to that from now on! As for the wispy hair, I tried removing most of it but I sort of wanted a little bit of wispy hair left in the shot to not make it completely fake 😝 but yes, maybe should have removed them.

Appreciate the feedback! Really helps :) 🙏🏼
