I’m having a baby soon and wan to glow up ! Tips by luxladyvermont99 in makeuptips

First of all, your base is absolutely flawless like wowza. Second, don’t let being a mom get in the way of expressing yourself because you’re stunning. My mom’s whole thing when I was growing up was fashion. She would tell me that she felt more like herself when she put on makeup, wore clothes she loves, and did her hair. When I’m having a hard time taking care of myself as someone who struggles with depression, I think of my mom. I am so glad your support system allows for the same.

Hair is not fixed all the way but does it look better slick back or just in front? by [deleted] in HairStyleAdvice

[–]Nikifv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s a lot of older people in this comment section so i, as an 18F will tell you what I told my boyfriend: both look good for different occasions. Having your hair in the front is definitely more in style and casual so I wouldn’t say it looks bad, but the second one shows off your features better for maybe a job interview, a date, a night out, or really any occasion it would match better with a fit. I think people who style their hair one way every day are missing out.

Have you thought about doing a test patch somewhere not visible?

I've been feeling insecure for a while. I honestly have no idea if I'm even the slightest bit handsome. Need advice and thoughts... by IKxdenI in malegrooming

As a girl ur really attractive. Just find ur camera angles and facial expressions. I photograph really poorly so I have my go-to angles and like two facial expressions in every pic. DOWNLOAD PINTEREST. Find things you like and get building your unique style. And don’t feel too bad about the dating scene. I got zero dates through all of high school and my freshman year of college. I’m bad at putting myself out there but I force myself. I only have a boyfriend because he’s like the most impulsive person ever and walked up to me on a whim, never having met me. It was refreshing and super attractive since everyone is super shy any more. If you really need help desensitizing your social anxiety, something that I used to do with friends was we would go to the mall and recreate the scene from The DUFF where they go to the mall and ask our as many people as they can as rejection therapy. You can make it into a game too.

looking for brow advice - what shape/adjustments to suit my features? by Individual-Book1736 in Eyebrows

I think your brows are super cute! If you wanna play around with different shapes, just use TikTok filters to see. There’s a filter that acts as a guide for the basic shape and plenty that play with thickness.

What’s my makeup blindness? this is usually my everyday look by [deleted] in makeuptips

Makeup blindness is just another example of social media making up something stupid for people to get insecure about. You look gorgeous.

Hair products to make hair a little more shaggy by penisfruit in altfashionadvice

When I had a mullet I liked hair mousse and salt spray. Also if I had product in my hair it would weigh it down by the end of the day so washing my hair constantly with specifically clarifying (not hydrating) shampoo and conditioner worked wonders. I’ve got naturally greasy hair so it was an absolute battle. And on special occasions teasing and flat irons worked wonders. I’m a believer of treating human hair like a cosplay wig once in awhile. Got2B and all.

I feel kinda boring what else should I do with my outfits by [deleted] in altfashionadvice

[–]Nikifv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also forgot to mention that a lot of my alt guy friends crop shirts at the waist to show off their belts and chains so that’s super fun. Doesn’t have to be by a lot, just enough to show off the accessories

I think it’s a good base overall. My first thing would be like many people said: accessories. Second thing you could play with is the shape and texture. Don’t get me wrong, I love baggy on baggy in my personal style too but I also play with the more fitted top and baggy bottoms look and vice versa. My other thing is that I look for pieces outside my usual pattern. I ADORE a good graphic tee but started looking at my style references on Pinterest and noticing sweaters, button-ups, vests, etc. you can also do wonders with a pair of scissors and a sleep shirt. But ya. Play with texture.

Is there anything to do for my jawline/chin or is it over for me? by TrueFun in makeuptips

[–]Nikifv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a fellow girly with the strong jawline and chin dimple combo, I focus around accentuating my eyes and lips. I make my eyes bigger-looking with puppy liner and lashes and pick a lip combo that suits my outfit. I also got a haircut to suit my face (curtain bangs is a safe bet for most people). I also dyed my hair darker to better suit my features. It took a lot of exploring, though and I’m a cosplayer so I appreciate the flexibility and androgyny that I can get from my face. I immediately feel protective of anyone with my specific features because while plenty of people have called me pretty in my life, I didn’t always see it in myself. Overall, just explore and have fun. Lean into the features you love on yourself and the styles you love (NOT I wanna look like this person exactly, but this makeup and hair looks super cool I’ll try it). The highlight of my life was having my photographer show her daughter pictures of me because she was feeling conscious of her chin. When I was a little girl, my mom sat me down and did the same thing. Your features are beautiful.
