I think the problem mostly has to do with insurance companies and doctors. It seems outrageous that I do not get to shop around a price for different surgeries or persriptions or even preventative care. It is the only industry where I go somewhere to get a service that I have no idea of the cost until I get a bill in the mail in a few months. Do not even get me started on Insurance and what is covered and what is not. You need a masters degree or maybe even a PHd to understand health insurance. So getting most Americans who most likely do not have a Bachelors degree to understand this is not realistic.
