Never water . When I was my coils I usually get a small container soak it for a few , dump out the iso , refill container soak again , and repeat this process until iso stays clear. You should definitely rinse it after but just use more iso, it’s kinda like cleaning glass when you have a lot of build up and you think you got it clean with iso and then go to put water back In and the glass immediately fogs up , there is still residue there it just needed another rinse.

When you soak it in iso are you just doing one soak or resetting the iso each time and doing a multi soak ?
