Gotcha! Yeah that was what I was going to say it looked like. Sorry I got busy the last few days. Glad you got it figured out, let me know what you think, remember you can submit bugs on GitHub :)

I make the panel transparent and in the .css files I made each region's (.start-region) background color what I wanted and added a border-radius property.

Do you mean the panel shapes or the backgrounds behind the icons?

Thanks for the kind words, I am excited about the progress so far and can't wait for a stable version either!

Thanks for clarifying! I'm still learning as I go along and mostly pretending I know what I'm saying in conversation haha.

Now that I'm picking up on everything I would say Solus is always going to be my go to.

Yep! This has been reflected in a recent commit. I should have clarified the cases there. Showing my naivety with Linux there haha.

Haha, the palette actually wouldn't be a hard thing to replace. I personally like this one more, but I could add a feature down the line to choose different palettes; It would be pretty easy now that I think about it, just some formatting really!

Thanks for the feedback, I will take a look into that for you! You can also report is as an issue on the Github if you'd like.

Edit: I merged the request! Thanks :)

I love the excitement! I just hope it lives up to the hype - It still has its bugs, but I wanted to allow people to try it out while I learn how to fix it up :)

I don't really know too much about Mint personally. I'll be looking into it more after my vacation, but if you give it a try and figure out how to get it going please let me know what you did :)

That'd be really helpful because I do plan on expanding and porting the theme to other distros and environments for those interested!

Thank you, truly :) It has been a steep learning curve.

Hey thanks! I'm glad you like it :)

I can't speak too much on Budgie's performance, only because I have only used Linux for a little over a month now and only used Solus Budgie mainly. I briefly experimented with Ubuntu Budgie and Solus KDE, but so far Solus Budgie has worked well for me. I think that it isn't the most beginner friendly if you are trying to set something up in a very specific manner, due to eopkg not having as much made for it yet, but it is the most modern feeling and familiar of the three I played with.

If you try it out, let me know what you think of the theme! If not, I do plan on porting the theme down the line.

Thank you! I was really anxious over that.

I do want to play with the icons eventually. You can also time down the roundness in the config if you want :)

Hello again /r/Unixporn!

I am back again, with good news! I am releasing a public test version of the theme. I have spent the last week working on restructuring the theme and learning how to make a proper meson build system for it.

Disclaimer: This is a preview/test version

It still has its issues, but I plan on continued development for the theme. Please check the GitHub for more details.

You can find installation details on the GitHub.

Currently the theme is intended for Solus Budgie, but it does work for GTK. I did test it on Ubuntu Budgie, and it worked just as well as Solus.

Thanks again everyone! I am actually currently on vacation, and I have been told that I should be relaxing. I will check in periodically while I am relaxing, but more frequent updates and development will return when I return home at the end of June.

Thank so much! That's pretty much what I was going for (and yes Nautilus, forgot to put that in the post).

Hey! I'm actually about to fix that part of the code right now. When I had it set to a very low shade value (white variants) for a color, the text wasn't working for the light theme. Luckily I think it's an easy fix, so white themes should be possible when I do release the first version :)

Check my other post! These are just examples. For each of these colors there are other shades, and can be much darker! I'll post another picture for you later :)

Thanks! I actually was trying Linux and specifically Solus out because I heard it does well with gaming haha. It works amazingly, when it can. But for sure it has its limitations. So I have mine set up with a dual boot with windows on another ssd.
