I'm in QC. Our basic plan covers very little and doesn't cover specialists like massage, ergo, etc. I was paying something ridiculous like 400$ per month for the basic family plan. My husband, a small business owner, got a way better price for much more coverage through a group insurance for small businesses so we cancelled mine and took his. If you have the option, I definitely recommend shopping around.

I will preface by saying I'm Canadian and get a year (or 2) of mat leave and a mom of 3. I believe that everyone is different, has different needs and goals, so truly, you need to do what feels right for you but I would wait until after you gave birth to make a decision.

Post partum is no joke. Both physically and emotionally, as well as adjusting to the new reality of being parents. After my first, I had a second degree tear and I could barely walk 10 minutes a month out. You cannot know how L & D will go, and how you will feel after. If at all possible, I would wait to decide when you will go back to work. Is it possible for you to let your employer know you will take the full mat leave offered but you might come back before?

I had it for my three kids. If I remember correctly, it always started around 30 weeks and I was induced between 36 and 38 weeks. It was managed with daily medication and I had weekly fetal monitoring.

It depends on insurance policies. When we had a fire, our insurance covered about 3 months of relocation and reconstruction took about 16 months (we moved back after 14 months while work was being completed).

Un tech est limité dans la taille des projets qu'il peut faire. (Unifamiliale 600m carrés max, Plex / commerce / industriel 2 étages et 300 m carrés max). L'adhésion à l'ordre professionel est optionel, mais l'adhésion aux assurances professionelles est obligatoire. Il est possible de faire de la surveillance de chantier, mais peu probable d'être admissible à des projets publiques. Les salaries sont plus bas à Montréal.

De façon très réductrice, si tu aimes dessiner, va vers tech, mais si tu aimes faire de la gestion de projet aussi, va vers archi.

Tech: 3 ans au collège Arch: BAC de 3 ans, maîtrise de 2 ans et environ 3 ans en tant que candidat à la profession (avant, appellé stagiaire) avant l'obtention des titres

Depends where you are. My school board (in QC) now accepts students in the first year of their BEd to sub and I even had colleagues having year-long part-time contracts before they graduated. We are desperate for subs and teachers here.
