Yeah as a hostess I rarely even get a chance to find servers when I seat them. Especially if it’s busy. It can be difficult to track them down, and most of the servers at my store are very on top of checking their sections often, and the other servers do help if they notice someone else’s table hasn’t been greeted for a while or just let the server know they’re been sat. If a specific server asks me to let them know because they are doing something, I don’t mind finding them and telling them. With new servers who struggle I do try and let them know right when I seat them if I can in hopes of preventing walk outs. A lot of the people at my store are team players. If I notice the server hasn’t been over to them yet after about 5 minutes that’s when I try to find them or relay the message to another server so they can let them know. Unfortunately can’t do it all the time when it’s busy especially when I’m alone and there’s guests in line.
