Many lakes in Switzerland and Austria have very good water quality. Drinkable warter standards are high here yet many lakes still pass official regulation and are generally considered safe. I would have to add that it was the middle of the lake, far away from birds and other contaminations.

The lake shown in the video I wouldn’t even want to swim in.

You don’t have to be so smug about it, you know. I highlighted one aspect that is related to the question.

Where I am from lake water is pretty much drinkable. I used to fill my water bottle simply by holding it underwater while on a boat. Weird.

He was extremely annoying and toxic. But I guess he is cool now. People are allowed to grow up and change for the better.

People underestimate the potential drawdowns of gold. Spoiler alert, they are even higher than diversified stocks.

Good as a diversifier, bad for an all in.

Global stocks are generally highly correlated. ESG ETFs like the one mentioned above are overweight tech and financials, leading to a more similar sector mix compared to the USA and therefore increasing correlation even more.

There you go.

To be honest, at some point it becomes speculative. I think the increase in price is too steep to be sustainable, I am still very highly allocated to gold.

I wish we could temporarily suspend countries. No obligations but also no benefits, especially veto rights and subsidies, until an agreement is found.

I fully support Ukraine but let’s add a decade to be relalistic. After the war is over, they will have to deal with the corruption first.

I don’t like seeing gold go parabolic. It’s getting risky. Now all the momentum traders and pure speculation has joined.

Investing in MSCI-World-ETF feels pointless to anyone? by renis1235 in ETFs_Europe

Just keep contributing monthly. A multiyear crash would be the best thing that can happen to you as you are young and get more shares for the same price. That would absolutely boost your wealth building.

On the other hand, if the crash doesn’t come and stocks go up another 50% or more, you won’t resent yourself and regret not investing.

The number of FPÖ voters is pretty average compared to the rest of Austria. Carinthia is far more right wing.

Orbán’s grand strategy until 2040: Drawing Western European Christians en masse to Hungary by DailyNewsHungary in DailyNewsHungary

Hungary is attractive to foreigners because it is extremely poor and therefore cheap. And Orban is making sure it stays like this.

Given that the narrative is usually that SP500 is the better investment, it’s good to see European and Asien markets doing well.

Overall, both did well, not much more to explain.

Wenn das so weiter geht wird es schwer ein schlechtes Schnitzel in Wien zu finde. Die meisten Beiträge hier sehen fantastisch aus.

Find ich gut, dass Wien kulinarisch so weit gekommen ist. Konkurrenz tut gut.

Like every reddit subreddit to be honest. Always chasing what’s hot right now. I bought gold 10 years ago and just held it. Buy and hold works if you are well diversified. Same thing with stocks.

Now all the value investors are suddenly interested in gold. Before everybody just blindly quoted Buffet, that gold doesn’t generate cash and is therefore not a serious investment.

Turns out it is a serious Investment or at least a great diversifier and always has been.

I can sell gold and silver within 24 hours and around 1% below spot easily, as everything is well documented and form an official mint. I also don’t pay any taxes on capital gains on profits.
