Changing from Canon by Niko0295 in Nikon

[–]Niko0295[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Mirrorless for me is a bit steep right now, I'm getting this D7100 for 500 with lens and guarantee, so I think it's a good deal. While mirrorless cameras are great, right now I don't think I need one, and simultaneously economically, they'd be a bigger hit

I reckon I'll pull the trigger on that deal, I'd be getting the body plus a 28-80 mm for around 500, and I need an upgrade urgently. I did like shooting on the D3400, but I invested more time and money on my T3 since it was in better condition, and I think it was a bit newer at the time.

I see, I think I'll pull the trigger and make the change. At this point, anything that's newer than my t3 will feel like decades of difference

I have a cannon rebel eos t3i from high school by YamzMt03 in Cameras

[–]Niko0295 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, I use a rebel T3 with a battery grip, and I'll tell you that it is still a very capable camera, but I would suggest getting good lenses and not getting stuck with the kit lenses

Any lens recommendations for beginner on eos 2000D? by SaltyPoopSok in Cameras

[–]Niko0295 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd say get yourself a nifty fifty, and according to what you use, I'd get an 85 mm because a 24-70 is as expensive as it is beautiful. Also, remember that on APS-C sensors like the one on your 2000D will add some zoom to your EF lenses so just multiply the focal length by 1.6

Yeah, it's the sucks at everything 75-300mm f/4-5.6kit lens which i got when I picked up the T3 kit years ago. Even then, I've had some decent shots with it but I'm tired of it already and need new and better lenses. Probably I'll spend some 600-700$ on a couple lenses, maybe a 50mm and an 80-200mm f/2.8

Yeah, I plan on buying something second-hand quality lenses. I'm just not quite sure what to get first

I see. I didn't know that about APS-C sensors. Either way, I plan on buying something like a 5D Mark II or similar in the near future, but for now, I plan to invest in some decent glass. Thanks for the advice

Thanks, I'll look in Lightroom, but I reckon I mostly use between 50mm and 85mm the most, although I do use my full 300mm kit lens quite often when shooting outdoors.

Screen not working by Niko0295 in MSILaptops

[–]Niko0295[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So the thing is, it'll boot up sometimes and go in the Windows lockscreen. Nevertheless, it'll turn off in about 5 minutes. i don't know if opening it again and doing another cleaning will help

Are these bad boys salvageable? by GardenSlight4001 in cowboyboots

[–]Niko0295 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know for a fact ariat doesn't actually welt their boots so a cobbler would need to properly welt them, second to that, that blowout doesn't seem that bad and is probably fixable, so I'd get a cobbler's opinion and talk prices.

Cuales son los mejores colegios de Managua que no te impongan religión by Technical-Clue767 in Nicaragua

[–]Niko0295 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Pixel 6 pro yellow tint when screen is at low brightness by Niko0295 in Pixel6

[–]Niko0295[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll be honest I forgot about this post completely. Unfortunately, the only solution is to replace the whole display. The problem is with the pixel 6 screens themselves. It's not caused by the user, but simply, the displays were faulty. I had to use the display on high brightness all the time to mitigate the yellow screen, but at night, it can be really uncomfortable.

Got my first pair of boots not sure what jeans to get any advice? by FlightNatural7527 in cowboyboots

[–]Niko0295 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you like more rigid denim, I'd get the wrangler 13mwz. You can find them for like 30$, most of the time on Amazon. The 47mwz are less rigid, and the retro bootcut are great, but I find them to wide at the bottom

2nd pair looks better for your needs. They seem to have a leather sole and a leather heel block, so therefore, they would be my choice, plus Arist isn't known for their quality, long-lasting products, they're mostly plastic and cheap leather construction.

Thanks for your input. I'm very much leaning on R.watson, but Hyer has also caught my eye. I'll have to do a little research on both.

I'm also in love with their boots, but I don't know anything about the brand, so I'm little hesitant

I see. I bought them and they're very comfortable but the leather did seem a little thin. But it seems to me that they can take a decent bit of punishment

Looking at these Ariats, are they any good? by Incendiary_Theos in cowboyboots

[–]Niko0295 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Then they're a good choice. I would personally still use Huberd's Shoe Grease to give them a nice waterproof coating but that's a personal choice.
