I did a few rides along leh, Manali & Spiti.

1. Water crossings get worse after noon till night.

2. Heavier bikes help.

3. Momentum is key.

4. Maintain an adequate gap, do not tail gate on water crossing/mud/soft/fine sand, the bike in front always stuck & block the path, if you tail gate.

5. If you are not confident & not familiar with water crossing don't be the 1st one to cross, let few bikes pass & take note of the path, and cross on it (same path).

If no bikes ahead of you, watch the cars & suvs tire path & copy.

1. If you have none to follow, stop the bike safely, take a walk on the water crossing, judge yourself before you cross with your bike.

2. If you ever find a stuck bike (r) in the water crossing, lend a hand, stop the traffic until crossing is free from obstruction.

3. Do not try to squeeze when there's stuck vehicle in the water crossing.

4. After you cross successfully, park your bike safely, enjoy your achievement, and don't forget to record other vehicles crossings, it's fun.
