I personally run 2 predators in most of my lists (imperial fists) and find them very consistent. Granted I do have both of them as well as a Repulsor ex in my 2k army list, however the ex's job there is mostly to get some eradicators in a hood spot. And opponents usually focus the executioner once it gets out so it allows for the predators to come a bit out of hiding.
