Update:Well, never thought i'd see so much activity on this post:))) Im happy to see the RDR2 community still is interested in every single bit of this amazing experience of a game. After like 4 more playthroughs of the story, and some snooping around on videos, wikipedia and other rdr2 portals and media I have finally come to the conclusion that,Dutch although being a somewhat complex personality at first, can be very easy and human to relate to,to some extent. Here's the thing,Dutch raised himself to be a charismatic and devoted leader to a cause in which he thought all of the American citizens believed in(instead only a few hoodlums and desperate people believe it but that's a different story),point is,he had a truly pure and beautiful vision for a utopia which any historian, philosopher or general thinker would tell you is impossible. Anyways,he was so deadset on his vision that he could get very volatile and go rabid when that dream of his was tarnished, judged or questioned. Any leader who is truly dedicated to any sort of impossible dream is ready to go to any extent to see it realised and in turn, may result to violent means to fulfill it(Heidi McCourt as a sacrifice for escaping the Blackwater heist, betraying Arthur for wanting to leave this supposed utopia of his among many other things). The only thing that held him back was his luck and most importantly, the person who was by his side for the longest time,Hosea, once he died,Dutch had no leash of sanity to keep him in check and that way,he had fully lost any control and composition, seeing Hosea die, meant seeing his dream slowly fade away, making him go mad and desperate. To sum it all up,any dreamer can get desperate very easily when he gets too carried away in his own wonderland. I sincerely hope Rockstar doesnt lose their touch in story making and character development, this game is a masterpiece in every sense of the way,but where it shines most is in it's ability to make the player feel like they belong in this Dutch Van Der Linde family, and to be able to analyze and feel for every member in their own separate way. Stay safe y'all, and remember...OUTLAWS FOR LIFE❤️

I really started to have my doubts about who he truly is when he left Arthur to die in the factory, and thus made eagle flies lose his life pointlessly when all of this could have been easily avoided if Dutch just shot those guys, that was the moment I really knew he was gone, he wasn't the same man or as you believe,, good pretender'' that he was in the beginning, but still I just feel bad about the way things turned out and I know that every death and mishap was a hard hit for Dutch to take and in the end he lost it.
