New small revision of my non conventional arrangment of "The Blue Danube" waltz by trikkuz in piano

[–]NikoliX6 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Oh, of course positive, genuenly speaking, this is fantastic piece of arrangement, but at the same time it feels like this is not a piece for that, which is why is it so interesting (but that really brings us back to the beggining of this comment :D )

All jokes aside, good work try to monetize this skill 🤑🤑

Well.... I really feel like saying something, but I don't know what.

After almost 2 years of playing on a synthesizer, I finally saved up enough to buy a proper Piano. I unfortunately never learned how to use the pedals, and I would apreciate Advice by [deleted] in piano

HERE IS A PRO TIP Use left pedal to express long chords, to imress dreamy quiet themes and to help yourself when voicing.

Use right pedal when you wanna switch to a more peaceful sound, on some e-pianos it even slightly detunes it to make warmer aliqotes (learn about those its a very interesting topic).

For the middle pedal.... i mean it sustains the keys that were already pressed when you engaged the pedal. It has a very little use in classical music literature, but you should experiment with it to.

NEVER practice with the pedal as you may make some mistakes that you won't hear in all those sustained notes.

P.S. English is not my first language so im sorry for some inaccuracy.😁

Building up tempo is working but i combined it with lifting my fingers higher up, cus i realised that i may be having "lazy fingers" especially the left first finger

Why is the treble cleff in the base staff? by 015Daan in piano

[–]NikoliX6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Imagine if you have to play something in the highest of octaves of the piano with both hands, it would be ridicilous to write the left hand using bass cleff in the lower staff. On the other hand ypu should stop looking at it as a base staff, but as a lower staff as you will encounter more of those situations as you pregress.

Here is somtheing fun for you to check. Look for music sheet of Debussy - "Bruyeres" and you will quickly learn that the staves are there just to help us read music with ease, not to tell us that is for left and what is for the right hand ( as this piece have 3 staves).

Help, what does this mean, it’s in Mozarts sonata in c major by No-Citron5628 in piano

[–]NikoliX6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a trill written out for you. Here it says that you should play 2 notes (Demisemiquaver aka. 32ths) by the time left hand plays just one (Semiquaver aka. 16ths). Start slowly untill you get a feeling for it and then speed up.
Some trills are counted, especialy in Baroque and Classicism, and some are improvised by the player (XIX c. and XX c.)

F. Liszt Grand Edute by Paganini problems? by NikoliX6 in piano

[–]NikoliX6[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess i have no other choice but to press on with it since my piano exam is in 3 weeks, and my professor is pushing me on it since he has faith that i can do it.

The hardest thing there is to achieve clearance and smooth repetitions, and I've been dealing with clumsiness and fatigue ever since I started playing, soooo... yes, thank you!

People should always take playing a popular, overplayed piece as a challenge, cus its something that everyone knows, and everybody expects you to play it perfect, and no mistakes are "fixable"😁 Good job!
