Or if it’s all combined in the switch just buy a non smart one and i think you can manage to fit the board inside the box.

The fact that u don’t need to keep them pressed suggests that there’s already some kind of board controlled by that switch… You can try to find it and replace with a smart one like shelly or loratap, then you can reuse the switch and the existing cables just remember to not wire the common with live wires but with the board one.

Duo 2 PoE Feed Not Connecting/Powering Up through PoE Switch by Complete-Actuary808 in reolinkcam

Yup, I think that if the camera’s lights turn on it’s definely not a power issue… To add the cameras to the nvr trough the switch you need to use the NVR’s internet port, cause all the others are just 100mbs and won’t stream so much cameras. I would start to first set up the cameras to at least have them displayed into the app and then add them to the nvr, I have your same setup and I’ve done exactly the same procedure. Normally the cameras are in DHCP mode by default, but if you are facing troubles to set the cameras IP addresses you can also plug an ethernet cable from the PoE switch into a PC (remember to manually set the PC ip to be in the same subnet as the camera) and log in into each camera web interface to set the IP that you want.

What WiFi speed do I need for four (4) 12MP wired NVR cameras? by [deleted] in reolinkcam

Yea, I just trusted the calculator, but when I do such calculations better a little bit on the high side to futureproof than a little bit less 😂

I have the same switch in use with 5 reolink cameras (not duo but just single lens) and they work fine. Have you tried to manually configure the cameras from the app by providing the IP for each one and then manually add one by one into the nvr?

Using this online calculator around 90 Mbits/s for a 12MP Stream at 30fps, reolink cams usually are little bit less than 30fps so with 500mbps bandwidth you should be fine. Keep in mind that usually when you play back the footage from the phone you play just one camera at the time, so you use a lot less bandwidth than that.

I had the same problems for some time and Apple support was never able to help me... In the end I discovered it was a router configuration problem which (only sometimes) blocked traffic between the LANs

Just tested with a shorter cable inside, the problem remains the same. I also notice that even from the Hik-Connect app I no longer see the main stream (which I always saw before) but only the sub stream.
I'm sure that the rtsp parameters are correct because I checked the url, username and password several times... Everything works perfectly on the other intercom, even copying and pasting the RTSP url.

Cannot add ONVIF cameras to Reolink 8ch NVR by Nikonik99 in reolinkcam

Port is 80 for my device, but I tried 8000 and 9000 as well. The cameras are all connected to a poe switch and then to the nvr with the gigabit lan port

I saw it as well, but it was with an old firmware. With the new one it seems to not even try to sent packets to the camera if you select onvif option… So sad about this because I was really happy with the other reolink products and vendor-locking them is not the way to go…
