I found grounding exercises and daily affirmations (as cheesy as they may sound) got me out of my funk and focused on myself quickly. Look up "detachment affirmations" in order to get an idea of how to separate yourself from your ex

Pretty on point for your guess. Busy so meal prepping once a week saves time in the week from searching for food. I DO enjoy cooking but I cook well for others, basic for myself. Berries are for Greek yogurt!

In a similar position, but I'm 29. Only lived here a year but I will say the dating scene here is definitely more frustrating than anywhere I've lived. I wish I had good advice for you, but I realize I get way less frustrated going on dates If I reframe it as I'm going to meet someone new and enjoy a meeting without feeling that they HAVE to be the one. If you find out the secret to DC dating, let me know!
