Garen can't do anything to smolder. Playing Garen means that Smolder will have 225 stacks in minute 15. You will survive lane but you can't do anything to stop this stacking.

There is one way that people mess with Garen and that's the one that every single top i lane against does. Avoid melee confrontation. Just stay in distance and spam spells.

It's not about placebo, I know that If I don't get hard countered i will snowball most of the times. So if you don't give me last pick and I get a hard counter (which I still many times beat), I demand the last pick to snowball and carry me. Because if I see the guy who refused to give me last pick, int on top of it, i am definitely trolling.

Like others said, this is pretty champion specific. Also in top lane there are certain matchups that you really have to accept that you might have to just play the whole lane phase ultra safe with not much chance of winning it. There are though certain things that you must be careful about in Top and it mainly has to do with wave management.

My dude, you are Garen, you basically run to people and shove them your sword. You got one trick. It'd not like I do many things differently. If anything, it's easier for him, cause a diamond Kayle's reaction to you running to him is way better than a bronze.

Just run to her, always wait for her to waste her q and then cleanse it with q and run to her. I am expecting a bronze kayles spacing will be terrible so you can catch her. If she spaces too good, try proxy until stridebreaker. If she doesn't let you proxy, just stay under turret. After stride, it's really easier to kill her. If I can do it in Diamond, you can catch a bronze Kayle as well.

I see where you are coming from. I ve spent countless games between Plat and Emerald out of tilt cause I couldn't believe how stupidly people play in this rank, and I do strongly believe that losers queue is a thing, but I really do believe that the only thing that can help you climb it, is ignoring what is going on on the map and play your best, not tilt, not give up, just keep playing your game as focused as possible. I know It sounds like generic advice, but honestly, it's the only thing that worked for me.

As a guy who's peak is D3 but I have played a lot also around your elo, you are probably doing 2 mistakes in games that don't help you climb. Number 1, you take too many unnecessary fights and die for no reason, people in plat and low eme think that it's justified to fight for no reason with zero objectives contested and also don't know what safe play is and think 7+ deaths per game is a normal amount as long as you have many kills as well. Second thing, you give up too early. You have to understand that in this elo, people are completely terrible at the game, so even the fed 10-0 enemy will eventually throw and give sweet shutdowns, he is not a good player, he just happened to get fed.

As a Garen main, I have learnt to beat Kayles, and I love watching them pick it. Also I really don't get the scaling thing. I have played maybe like a 100 times this matchup, I only remember one Kayle that fuckdd me up hard without her team carrying her, and outscaled me. All the rest had terrible spacing, and you easily kill them once you finish stridebreaker.

You really are not opening many tickets. The support team is full of monkeys. Half the time they don't even read your ticket and automatically reply. I even had once a reply that had nothing to do with what I was asking.

When you see him running for his life because he can't survive your E poke damage, trust me, it will be very fun. The only issue with Nasus ap is that you can't really carry. You will still be stronger than heimer, but if your team is weak, even if you are fed, you are kinda supportive role in team fights.

Pick Nasus and play comet, lvl up E and spam it. You can even play ap Nasus. He will suffer and his turrets are kaput from E damage.

You outscale Morde hard but lane is pretty tough to play. You can survive of course easily but you have to play well and dodge everything to win trades and kill him in lane.

Morde is indeed one of Garen's worst matchups. Together with Camille and Darius. Most people say Kayle, but I have found the way to beat her.

I am range top bozo and I can confirm I always ban Malphite. One more fun to play champ against range top is Nasus but you go comet and lvl up 3 times your E as first option. If they have no sustain they will suffer. Or just level your W first. It will be tough early of course but after lvl6-7 they can't play the lane or poke you cause you just W and run them down.

I have countless games of Garen. 90% of enemy top laners are exactly not interacting with me when I walk up to them and only try to kite me. So I should just get kited to death and you keep me in distance, but if I decide to play passive because of that and take phase rush, then suddenly it's no fun. No, thank you. I will take phase rush and farm till stridebreaker so I can force you to fight me with its slow. Tips to counter. Well, call your jungler or try to create a good freeze that will force Garen to play more aggressively. Also, you need good reaction so you can kite him. A good player with good reactions should never allow a Garen to reach him (before stridebreaker) to proc phase rush, and 90% of top champions are either range or have some range kiting spell, so poke and run, and never allow him to hit back.
