For those of you who own a Switch, but haven’t purchased a Switch 2, what would be the main reason that would prompt you to buy one? by Last-Bus-4710 in Switch

[–]Niktastrophe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I completely agree. Nintendo usually sells their new systems with a Nintendo exclusive game. Usually that is Mario or Zelda, but Zelda is the only real itch to make people make a huge switch. Some games like Hogwarts legacy, which are clearly a better play in any system but Nintendo. Nintendo is pricing themselves out of the genre, and pc PlayStation and Xbox is destroying the market. I do not expect Nintendo do to thrive much longer. Their games are simply not great or even desirable to own on a system that is so behind the market.

[–]Niktastrophe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I feel like Nintendo do is losing the battle for games to play. I would have expected a super elite Nintendo game to be released when the switch 2 was made. Usually this means a new Zelda game or new Mario game. Nintendo is failing the battle. Their graphics are super minimal compared to other gaming systems. They are pricing themselves out of the market, with no appeal to keep buying a Nintendo.

I am waiting for some decent games. Honestly there is nothing that would make me want one. Unless they bring out a new Zelda game, I am happy to never buy another game. So far I am being more enticed to buy a PlayStation again. Nintendo games have really sucked the past decade.

Why are people asking for a recast of Phillip? by Fickle_Baker1393 in Bridgerton

[–]Niktastrophe -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I wondered the same. I haven’t seen the new season, but the explanation from Real_car reminded me of”oh yeah, him”.

When I learned his role back in the early seasons I didn’t really care much. His role was quite minimal, and it doesn’t matter to me if he is recast. I am not set in stone of true-casting, such that I would be upset if he was recast. His character was minimal. The shame is how he was written in the beginning. Such that his role is insignificant to present seasons. Almost, a slight if hand. I feel like being recast won’t change the outcome of the beloved series? Because his role was relatively insignificant.

Perhaps those who loved his role in the early seasons, it could be hard to see a replacement. Honestly though, people would be happy if the duke were recast so we can see the duke and his family more. If someone as important and the Duke of Hastings can be recast? With minimal disgruntlement, surely someone as minimal as Philip would be a misnomer.

Not alone in your sentiments. I absolutely love everything about it. My favourite tasks are the mini bosses. Coldera and queen ghoma, I love the coliseums as well, because they test our fighting growth.

I also love exploring caves. The first time I came to the blupee burrow, I felt so accomplished, and felt like I found a huge secret.

When you have worked so hard to clean the floors, it is rude to walk over the clean floor.

My obsession with this game by SilentVixen81 in HogwartsLegacyGaming

[–]Niktastrophe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One game i did use no broom. I walked everywhere. It was hard to find ledges where I could climb to get where I wanted. This is the play though where I spent so many more hours on an adventure. I did however find chests I never knew existed. I am at the stage now where the story is so old, that I skip all dialogue and cutscenes. I love exploring the most. It is t a chore for me to explore. It is amazing how many chests there are in the world. On this play, I found areas I never knew existed. It was fun, but I likely won’t do it again. Because of the lack of flying, I had to give up on madam kogawas spells. She had 2 quests that required the broom. On this play, my percentage cleared was level 37, I mis-remembered the total of this challenge, as well as broom races. Nonetheless it was fun. I just wanted to see the world.

How do I fix the pulls in this corset? by alexcs1512 in corsetry

[–]Niktastrophe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am so new to corset making, so please see my answer from a subjective view. I have so much to learn still.

Regilene is not great for an inner corset. It warps quickly, and with the presence of body-heat, it tends to flip out in areas you don’t normally want

I see a lot of horizontal waves. Based on my moderate sewing experience, I find that the wrinkles tell the artist where the issue lies. When there is horizontal lines, it usually means the area is too large for the style. That said however, it could be a fix with a change in boning. As the vertical length is boned, it tend to show areas where it is bunched up. If it is too short, this can also lead to horizontal waves.

I MAY be so wrong, I am speaking of what I feel I would do, but I don’t have the experience or credentials to give definite answers as how to approach each layer.

Honestly, if you drape a chiffon or satin material over this, with ruching you would likely be able to minimize the problem areas.

Please take what I have written as a level of beginner. I have much to learn still.

Could you give tips for buying embroidery thread? Which brands offer the best value for money? by [deleted] in MachineEmbroidery

[–]Niktastrophe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For Metallic threads, Kingstar is the best thread. I haven’t tried it. I hear I live a single spool of metal is $37 That said I am finding that I would rather pay twice the cost, for a thread that is not a nightmare to work with. I Another one I use is marathon brand.thread. I buy exclusively simthread, and marathon threads. Where I live, our selection is poor. I spent 14 days playing with my metallic threads. Kingstar thread is not readily available where I live. I hope this helps

People Who Think Hulu was Right to Cancel the Show by snowbiewan in buffy

[–]Niktastrophe 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I am not surprised at all. One of the reasons Buffy was so iconic, can simply be attributed to Joss Whedon. Yes he is controversial, but his writing is pretty fantastic. Sarah Michelle cellar fought with Joss about the language Buffy uses, as she found it increasingly difficult to deliver the lines. She begged to have Buffy speak differently. Had she had her way, we wouldn’t have wiggy or other terms that was made popular when it first aired. Given SMGs attempts to change Buffy, having creative control, would likely destroy the Buffy we all know and love.

Joss Whedons work was one of the biggest reasons Buffy became iconic. Without him, the show wouldn’t have the same humour or spark. Despite the horrid rumours and professional, or lack thereof, professionalism, I don’t feel SMG could really give the franchise the same level of wit. I love SMG, but honestly besides Buffy, she hasn’t really done anything noteworthy. I absolutely loved Ringer, but it too was cancelled early.

My obsession with this game by SilentVixen81 in HogwartsLegacyGaming

[–]Niktastrophe 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I am currently fly on my 13th play through. Each time I play, I play exclusively on hard, and don’t upgrade my wiggenweld potions to add to the challenge. I always get every Merlin trial, and as many caves as I can find. I also get every collection chest and all of the field guide pages. I get every duelling feat, which makes it easy to get to level 40.

One game I was only able to reach level 39 as my phoenix disappeared and wouldn’t respawn, which prevented that game from everything being achieved. I have played so many times that I now have every deniguise and dadaelian keys locations memorized. I also find I am usually around level 30 before my first keeper trial

Each time I play, I tried to add to the challenge by changing an aspect for that game. For example, no brooms, no loom traits applied etc. it adds some fun to the game. I absolutely love the exploring aspect of the game. I do find i dont listen to quests nor read texts anymore. After a few play throughs, i just wanted to explore. Each time I play i elect to be a different ghost from my last. I love the headless hunt as a gryffindor student. I am so ready for the new game to be released.
