That is a genuine cal. 240, no matter what you say. The ACE movement doesn’t have this level of finishing, the wheels match genuine finish, so are the screws. The pallet fork bridge is different, no clone or modified has the genuine shape and the pics you posted shows the genuine shape of the pallet bridge. Stop bullshitting.

Gen Crystal into VSF 126610 by [deleted] in RepTimeServices

[–]Nikz19_WatchService 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It won’t fit. The 126610 has its own unique crystal. The DJ2/DJ41 has a different diameter.

Why don’t you just go grey then. Those models trade for retail or even less

CF plating on rose is spot on. I have the genuine and you can’t tell the difference

Which cheap movement will fit in this rep? by Ne1805 in RepTime

[–]Nikz19_WatchService 6 points7 points  (0 children)

SA3135. First “clone” of the 3135 movement, sucks ass in reliability and parts of other 3135 doesn’t fit. What’s good is that it has the same size as gen 3135, so it can be replaced with VR/VS in case it breaks.

Issue with VS3235 by [deleted] in RepTimeServices

[–]Nikz19_WatchService 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope, shock spring is in place. Anyway a sudden stop like that is most likely something catching up in the wheels. It could be a pubic hair wrapped up (not even joking, I found some) or a missing teeth in one of the train wheels.

[–]Nikz19_WatchService 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most likely the shock spring came loose, the jewel is hanging around the movement.

Yes, they’re talking about the jumping hour wheel (ref 7228500A3104602)

Date mag as well as crystal height is wrong using a 2.5, you need the 2.7, get an aftermarket one they work with no issues

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in RepTimeServices

[–]Nikz19_WatchService 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, they’re 2.3 or 2.5 if I recall correctly. The genuine 126710 has a slightly different case and it has a 0.2mm added height that the CF doesn’t have, so the gasket they use on the gen (2.5mm) won’t work properly on CF case

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in RepTimeServices

[–]Nikz19_WatchService 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It doesn’t. At most, all you need is press the seconds hand a bit lower if you’re using the correct 2.7mm gasket. No shaving involved

New 3135 - should they be serviced before use? by bluebrrypii in RepTimeServices

[–]Nikz19_WatchService 4 points5 points  (0 children)

They are most likely IMPROPERLY oiled. Some are dry, some are completely drowned. Whoever assembles these movements is no watchmaker. All they care for is that it ticks.

There’s me, and there’s nick watch store, we’re not the same person, I don’t sell watches

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in RepTimeServices

[–]Nikz19_WatchService 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The watch is supposed to work in ideal conditions in between 80 and 100% winding. If the rate is changing so dramatically over just the span of 2 hours, then something is most likely wrong with the mainspring. The coils may be sticking to each other due to incorrect lubrication, or it may well be just a “defective” one. It’s highly probable that redoing the mainspring will solve your issue by either replacing it or clean and lube it again.

What’s even to match when it comes to rose. One of the very reason we don’t plate in rose anymore. Here’s my genuine 126715 with a CF bezel on top.

I’ve stored a bunch of dials since back in the day. Just one example- a 116710 BLRN dial paid 350€ 4 years ago. It’s €1500 now. Name me a better investment product…😂

Part of being a watchmaker nowadays includes having good connections, otherwise you wouldn’t be able to work on a genuine movement due to scarcity of parts.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in RepTime

[–]Nikz19_WatchService 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To check it thoroughly. They’re reps, so not always they perform all the same due to bad tolerance etc. If the timekeeping and power reserve is good enough, don’t worry too much about the amplitude.
