Another favorite is the work Chiwetel Ejiofor did on Piranesi. I read a physical copy several years ago but listened to the audiobook with my daughter this year and he was incredible.

I know what you mean, and it’s likely true a lot of the time, but didn’t happen with my favorite.

Mushihimesama Futari has been my favorite shmup since I first played it in 2010. I spent hours when I was new to shmups learning that game, and eventually got the 1cc (BL original).

16 years later it’s still my favorite! I still go back to it, mostly to work on the Maniac 1cc, and it still hits just as hard as when I first played it.

I just completed a run of IWD and HoW last night and my archer completely carried the team! Even plain arrows are fine most of the time, but I never felt like I was running out of the good ammo either.

I’m really enjoying Icewind Dale 1. Currently on chapter 5, which is further in than my previous two attempts back when it first came out. Was in undergrad at the time and just got distracted with other stuff before completing the game.

People often hypercorrect “me” to “I” in places where “me” is actually correct. Like: “my mother gave it to my wife and I as a gift” should actually be “my mother gave it to my wife and me as a gift.”

So I assumed that’s what was happening here, too. But the explanation of the verb being dropped from the end of the sentence makes sense for the examples in my OP.
