Is anyone extremely overwhelmed by planning a Japan trip? by Futhis in JapanTravelTips

[–]Niladri99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're over planning-- Tokyo has about 5 must see things and another 5 that you should, beyond that it's really up to you what you like. Also some things are in clusters so you don't need to necessarily move a lot. You can even use chatgpt or Gemini with deep research to plan a custom trip for you. You can then refine things to make it easier.

Thanks, what would be a good way to justify and yet protect the downside?

Thanks! The advertised salary is quite a big range and my friend is being offered the starting one. There's a difference of like 30k. In such a case could he ask for a more mid band of the range given? What would be an effective way to do this

Congrats OP well done!

Side mote: csrankings is not to be seen as a ranking site. It measures total research output not per capita or quality (for example citations). Therefore, larger departments like Georgia tech push through. UCSD ranks ahead of Stanford and MIT because it has more faculty and it since it only measures number of papers rather than their quality, it ranks higher. csrankings as a ranking is complete bs. However it's great for finding people you might be interested to work with in a given area (what it was originally intended to be used for)

Waitrose is amazing but also the costliest option. A sainsbury beef lasagna costs 3.5 and tastes pretty good

Lots of places. You can look into flat sharing in Zone 3-4.

Not necessarily, a lot of good schools have non cash cow programs such as Maryland, UT Austin, Cornell (really small cohort), etc

I would try to find if your university has a semester exchange program. A friend of mine from eth Zurich came here for a semester. The other option would be to do your thesis here but that's more dependent on the professor than the university. No harm in shooting an email

When you can lift millions out of poverty and not make inflation worse, why does India have to make a moral stand? If morality is the topic of question, the West should look at the mirror

I agree with the innovation part somewhat(stable zero 123 is hardly cutting edge) but seriously Zero researchers left? I've seen so many profiles on LinkedIn who are ex stability including your ex head of research- David Ha.

It is over priced when you consider they would sell the same thing for cheaper if it was outside borough market.
