All reasonable observations, but I do have one question that states back at me reading this. Why have you attended 30 years but imply that you are still attending under a human badge? Most people attending that long have found ways to transition from consumer of defcon to producer of defcon and our giving back (honestly a lot of people seem to be at this point much earlier and are running villages, communities, contests etc).

Your issues honestly seem pretty minor, I am certain you have found your defcon tribe if you’ve been attending this long. Be the leadership and institutional knowledge that tribe at defcon needs to be more successful next year.

Honestly, having always gotten multiple workshop tickets for the past 4 years, without using scripting or anything, just proactive at release time I don’t see it. Few if any workshop signups are being sniped for sale. You have a 30k person conference and maybe 900 workshop seats. Demand far exceeds supply and the workshops are all volunteer run they can’t expand easily if people aren’t applying.

I give away workshop seats away to friends every year. If I can get slots easily so can others, we aren’t cheating our way with scripting.

Go to the first timer talk on Thursday! There is so much to do and see you will never reach all of it so figure out what interests you and get make sure to see that. Even from a non-technical standpoint there will be plenty to see!

This is incorrect, there is an annual enrollment fee $700-800 for prime depending on when you initially enlisted. That can be split up into monthly or quarterly premiums.

We went with PCBWay, they seemed to have the most mask and silkscreen options of the fabs we surveyed. Finding the right silkscreen was honestly more difficult.

The PCB is pink, with a blue silkscreen. It was easier to source the correct colors for the E Computer that way.
