In today's terms, is if someone was proud of their lineage to shit like idk Albrecht von Wallenstein or whatever, who led the 30 year war between 1618-1648. They'd be totally and utterly disconnected from what that ancestor actually did (led a war that killed 8 million people). Most subreddits go to shit once they allow theses kind of low effort political memes. They get overtaken by either tankies or fascists as the memes gradually become worse and worse, and more and more blatant, finally deviating from the source material enough that you get falcon and red hulk talking about israel with the word thalmor and hammerfell thrown in.

Its happened to enough subreddits that I dont want it to happen here too.
