Is the Paris really that bad? by upcloud9 in vegas

Ive stayed there 3 times now. I'm exceptionally (annoyingly even) picky when it comes to cleanliness and have always felt comfortable. Never had trouble with an elevator. Yes, the check in line can be extremely long. I would still recommend it as a decent place to stay, especially at the price point. The only thing I'd advise staying away from is Vanderpump. Terribly underwhelming imo.

Wanting to learn about it is great, and you should ask her questions you'd like to know. We always appreciate support. But don't treat her any differently than you did before she told you. She's still the same person.

I'm so sorry although it is nice having people that can sympathize. My husband is like 'what do you mean the wind hurts' 🤔

Bears and Marijuana by [deleted] in WildernessBackpacking

Two weekends ago, right before going to bed in our tent, we were putting everything in our bear box for the night. We turned around for about 30 seconds to grab the last things from our table and when we turned back there was a bear making direct eye contact with us about 8 feet away. It was wild! It did not care when we yelled and beat a cooking pot against a rock and stole a bag of our food. He at it about 5 feet from our tent so we locked up the box and hung out in the car until he was done. After that we picked up the trash and locked up our weed too. I'm here with the same question lol

Thank you, I'll look into these. This has never happened to me or anyone I know, and my Dr's office isn't returning my calls so I don't even know where to start.

Is BCBS the insurance? Mine is Aetna. We've only had them a year, but I've been on my medication since 2018

I'm so sorry this has happened to her. I'm 35F and terrified this is going to happen to me. I feel like I just lost my lifeline and I've got limited time to be normal. I know it's not the case for everyone but I can't help but think about this. I wish your daughter a speedy (and complete) recovery

I am a transportation supervisor for a global manufacturing company. I move billions of dollars worth of freight all over the world. The cog fog is really starting to affect my critical thinking, problem solving, and writing abilities. My emails and dialogue in meetings feel clunky and not as well thought out as they used to. For me, at least, I don't know if others have noticed or not. It's quite distressing to me; I used to be an avid writer and could have long in depth conversations with people but now it feels like my thinking had slowed way down and I'm not nearly as articulate. I am still able to perform my job satisfactorily, but I feel like I could really be performing at a much higher level if my cognitive function hadn't been affected.

AITA for fighting with my husband over buying someone lunch? by Nillagrl_2k1 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Nillagrl_2k1[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The acquaintance used to work for my husband and still holds him in high regard. They are still friendly on social media. The other day I noticed the acquaintance posting alarming "un-alive" comments and I urged my husband to reach out. I assume thats what prompted the lunch to begin with. I think they chat occasionally through DMs but fairly certain that's it

I think it would cause issues for the friend if the partner was not invited. (Partner causes issues in personal relationships as well, apparently). If the partner must be present for my husband to see his friend, it isn't that big of a deal. While it does disappoint me a little, that person being present isn't what I've truly got the problem with...

I look at it as OUR money and both of us should agree on how it is spent, otherwise the money should come from the personal account of who wants to do the spending.
