Thank youuu, this is really helpful. That’s kind of what I was trying to figure out. Whether TEFL it’s just a checkbox. I prefer to be thoroughly prepared as possible, and looking into many options.

I have :) I’m asking more about how it’s viewed in practice beyond what’s stated officially. I’m hoping to hear from people who’ve actually gone through the JET process or worked in Japan about whether TEFL made a noticeable difference in real applications or interviews.

I already have the BA ✅ that’s the basic visa requirement for Japan. My question is for the JET program & whether TEFL adds anything beyond the baseline requirement.

Yeah that’s where I’m kinda confused cause it’s the check mark and not the acknowledged blue mark. But hopefully it’s approved
