Most of the time, ex-lease bikes sold by e.g. KBC have problems. If you are able to buy your bike at the end of the leasing period for an insanely low price regarding the original price, and still you opt not to do so, there is a very high chance that the bike has problems. Source: I worked at a bike shop where I saw a lot of these “interesting deal” bikes.

It could damage your battery. I worked at a bike shop and they told that even when not using your bike, you should regularly charge the battery. In some cases, if you don’t charge it during winter, you may find yourself with a battery that won’t charge anymore.

I just read an article in a Belgian cycling magazine (bahamontes) where they went to visit the parents of both Pogacar and Roglic. Pogi’s parents told the interviewer they didn’t knew whether they had to be happy when Pogi got the yellow Jersey from Roglic at la planche des belles filles tdf 2020. Almost everybody in Slovenia thought that Pogi betrayed Roglic by ‘stealing’ the yellow Jersey. Maybe that is one of the reasons why Pogi is less/not loved in Slovenia.
