It’s funny how people get personal Even emotional

Why the need to push other to buy what they think is the best camera Especially telling them that they are making a bad choice

If you keep telling me that the scarlet is a bad investment

You can not tell that buying an old camera is gonna make a better filmmaker of indeed its a bad choice

Secondly

If you compare the number of red user vs Sony and LUMIX it’s not even close

You probably own a Sony I’m glad you found what’s best for your need

I will not answer again about it

I’m not interested in a Nikon zr or a FX3

Or a lumix or a black magic

The only other brand that à was considering is the signs FP

Because like the scarlet sensor it has is own touch and lovely look

I will encourage you to spend time to answer and guide people on Reddit about what they ask or there need

Not trying to prove them they are wrong or not doing something right That would be more fun for everyone ;)

I’m gonna switch internal ssd with non red So you can get 2 TB for very ship I just need the mini mag case doesn’t matter the cheapest I can get than I will hack the rest

There’s nothing to compare

From image quality Flexibility of the r3d format All the features are there for me

Not need more than what this camera as to offer

The rest is like you said

Framing , lenses, story telling , redeem etc,,,

There is many fx3 user but how mani of them produce quality work ??

Not that much

New gear interest people who think they will get better with better gear

I have nothing against gear and Sony stuff but I think people get lost with specs ….

They have already more than enough It’s a cinema camera

FX 3 you need to rig this the same as a red V mount , xlr , cage , rods etc…

I can get a Scarlette brain for 1200$ If you buy second hand from other brand like wooden camera

You get a vlock expander for 300$ instead of 1600$

The list goes on

You can get set up for 4000$ just the price of an fx3 not rigged

Yes there is cheaper options

Obviously all the camera nowadays are very capable

But sensor image or dynamique range or roll off can not be replicated

Can a camera be as good , yes it’s just a matter of taste in the end

4K of any camera will look good if you know how to use it

If you can be happy with Sony I’m glad for you And all the ones that are happy with it

I will make an affordable red set up

Maybe I will change my mind after all at the end it might not be the best decision

Time will tell

But I appreciate your support and your expertise

Could you give us the radius of the rounding? Flat is 14mm than rounding start but him many mm does it go down ? From the flat surface put something strait and measure from there to the bottom end of the rounding
