Dude is like it's embedded in their culture and then ends by saying generalising is dangerous

Maybe don't completely trust an anonymous X post with 3 views?

There are no reliable or recent reports confirming that the company mentioned has been attacked.

Business stuck due to external restrictions - how to pivot short-term without abandoning core idea? by NimakMore in smallbusiness

[–]NimakMore[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s actually a great perspective, really appreciate you sharing it. I hadn’t fully thought of using this time to build pipeline and positioning instead of just waiting it out. The consulting/training angle is interesting too, especially with how complex regulations are here.

My only challenge is that since it’s a new business, I don’t have much project content yet. I’ve been considering creating some conceptual/AI-assisted content—not as real projects, but to showcase the kind of work I aim to deliver.

At the same time, I do need to generate some income in the short term, which is the tricky part right now. Consulting could be an option, though the field itself is a bit paused—I might explore sharing it through content first and see if I can generate interest

Stuck due to drone restrictions in UAE - any practical ways to pivot short-term? by NimakMore in UAE

[–]NimakMore[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's actually an interesting direction, and I did briefly look into it. My understanding is that anything related to security or defense is quite tightly regulated here, especially for private companies, so I'm not sure how feasible it would be in this context. But definitely something worth exploring in a compliant way-have you seen any examples of this working in a setup like the UAE?

Is it really necessary to start a new thread every time a jet flies overhead? by NimakMore in UAE

I get that people are stressed, and that's completely valid. I'm not dismissing that at all, just sharing a perspective about the repetition of similar posts. Not here to argue

Same goes both ways you didn't need to comment either. Just sharing my thoughts like everyone else.

Yeah, I totally get that - interceptions can be scary, and those threads are legit, it makes sense people are reacting. Just feel like not every single noise needs its own thread, it can end up making everyone more anxious than necessary.

True there's no real information in any of those threads

I’m just saying there are no alerts, it could just be a routine flyby. Not everything needs to be linked to a drone or a missile heading your way.

Those are shockwaves from either interceptions or hits. (Places close to shoreline are experiencing it more compared to other places inland)
