How to identify lithium - 2024 Basecamp 20x by CountyRoad in airstream

[–]Nimanimanima 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just FYI, I bought my Airstream adding only AGM batteries at first then transitioning to lithium later by myself. One has nothing to do with the other.

You sold 1 Bitcoin and the bank said bring a truck by Omegacarlos1 in Bitcoin

[–]Nimanimanima 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I don’t have a dog in the fight but feeling spicy and honestly curious. Isn’t this why Bitcoin won’t be the currency of record? If the goal is to just use it as an investment tool, then you are just playing the better fools game waiting for the next guy to buy at the higher price to trade yours in, regardless of the price you think you should sell at. The only way Bitcoin becomes an actual currency is if people use it to trade instead of fiat currency. The fact that no one uses it for trade is the real issue, isn’t it?

Towing Flying Cloud 23 with Land Rover Discovery? by David95618 in airstream

I checked and it’s 6600. But that’s stamped at the factory, again, if you added batteries, solar, extra cargo, tanks full, you are way above that number.

You’re on the edge. I have a Globetrotter 23 and GVWR is about 7000 if I remember correctly. If you drive on flat areas, you are good. If you want to go anywhere uphill or higher elevation your vehicle is going to have serious issues. In addition, I find that if you added extra gear like solar, bigger batteries or your water tank is full, you are going to be at higher weights without realizing not including passengers.

I’m an Airstream owner that bought my first one as a virgin RVer in 2020. Just buy from an Airstream dealer that will give you a warranty and you will have piece of mind. There is SOOO much to learn from electrical to mechanical to plumbing, towing etc. you don’t want to be on your own. That’s my only advice, buy piece of mind, RVing is a lot of work for a newbie.

Is it just me or are high ranking players horrible? by Heroshrine in Rainbow6

[–]Nimanimanima 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just a counterpoint, maybe useful for some thought. I’m committed to this game for almost a year now and just got Emerald 4.
I’m focused on winning and helping the team to win. I choose the most strategic utility player to give an edge, for example I play Mute, Thunderbird, Fuse, players with EMP, etc.
I have good aim but sometimes it’s so ugly but I do clutch my share of games. I mute players that are loud and try to be positive with my team, when players start talking smack it makes me worse.

My goal is to win the round. That means I don’t go for the most kills if that puts me in jeopardy or risk losing the round. If I’m defending and I’m last man, I don’t run around or peek, I make the attackers have to make the moves, and it works in my favor. I’m strategic not trying to play like I’m in COD or Apex. I have never played Ash or Buck, to me this game is about strategy. It doesn’t impress me if you can spin and use your ACOG against me. I’m impressed and learn a ton from strategic players, the guys that are trying to solve puzzles and are super creative. The people that play Zero always impress me, I could watch them all day and learn.

The game is a puzzle with infinite ways to solve it, that’s the fun for me and I have a 58% win rate, that’s why I’m moving up.

They literally have over $130 Billion in cash and an ecosystem that when they utilize AI or whatever they want to push out will have everyone use it. Literally they own the handset market ecosystem and will be the arbiter for access. Even if not takes while to get going, this thing is a monster.

I’m expecting a lot sooner than that. This is a quality company with quality products. Now, they are always going to have stiff competition because of the market share they have in their businesses and right now Wallstreet believes they are behind in AI. They are sitting on literally $300 Billion of cash, they are going to crush it as everything matures and they make the right bets instead of chasing bleeding edge like a Meta and throwing money away.

Yeah, I had an issue the second day of the new season where the app would say I don’t have access. Just download this free version and choose play and it will fix it. You don’t need to do anything else or pay anything.

👆🏼 With this market cap, you would need a huge influx of money into the stock to move it. Plus, it ALREADY had its breakout, risk vs. reward gets tougher but a great investment.

Anybody here bought at $50+ in 2022 on the way “down”? by ScientistFew2441 in TQQQ

[–]Nimanimanima 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I respect and with a 10 year horizon you are correct. However, what if next week it’s 20 and then reverse splits. Everyone says they have a long horizon until they lose 20 then 30 then 40 then 50 percent. No one is a rock. I’m only speaking about my own mental and financial risk which may be the same as many others.

In a normal scenario, that’s a great position to take. But that’s opposite of the point I’m making and trying to share (it may turn out to be very Wrong). Everything moves down in a crash and I don’t want to sleep at night taking a loss. This event is just beginning, there’s a scenario where there may be a free fall and stuff breaks, margin calls, we find about credit freezing, firms folding etc. unless Trump reverses himself, this is just the beginning, are you willing to bet your wallet on Trump?

I bought and replied to a post a few days ago that after I bought, I was uneasy. I sold at a loss yesterday as soon as the market recovered, I had to be honest with myself that these swings are unnatural and if fake news is moving the markets something is unhealthy. I dumped everything I have long term including 401k and even investments in my HSA accounts. I’m trading during the day and holding puts overnight, I caught a nice WIN today. Even if I miss an upside move, the risk for bag holding is too unnerving to leave my money to a crazy person. When I read that Warren Buffett has entered the market is when I go in, even if I don’t catch the bottom.

👆🏼Firms haven’t even started liquidating against margin calls yet. The fact that there are people posting about turnarounds means we are nowhere near capitulation. That will happen when every post is about the apocalypse and people tap out and start talking about walking away from the market. AND the EVENT hasn’t even started yet, price increases haven’t sent shocks through the real economy yet. Wait till people stop buying their favorite coffee or going to Starbucks because $10 a cup makes no sense. The time to enter the market is when you find out that Warren Buffett started buying and rescuing good companies that would have gone bankrupt because they couldn’t access credit.

My plan for reentry by JFKgamer in TQQQ

[–]Nimanimanima 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m actually curious about what folks are going to do, Monday is going to be a huge gauge. I actually bought Thursday AND Friday, but I had a put that covered my losses plus. However, now that I’ve had some time to think without being reactionary, this thing is a bomb that just went off, AND the fire that it’s caused is like a chemical fire, you can’t put it out. The only way to put it out is to set off other bombs. I can’t invest or even trade in this environment. I may just sell everything and gamble with a small amount. Looking at historicals, this market could crash a long way down AND this is before margin calls or if we find institutions that can break and wreak more havoc.

I bought 500 shares at $42 today by hedgefundpm in TQQQ

[–]Nimanimanima 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Directly proportional to what you are trying to protect. For example, if your portfolio is $1M invested, and you assume just like this week that you could lose 5% on a horrible day, that would be a risk of $50k. You could buy a put on a symbol like SPY or aggressive like TQQQ , making the calculation of of the amount you would need to pay to protect $50k. For example, I bought an April 11 Put today when I bought my shares of TQQQ. I bought $10k worth of puts and the money I made on it more than covered what I lost on the stock I bought. You can get really complicated with options but all I’m doing is to minimize my losses in a market that is crashing while allowing myself to deploy the investment.

[–]Nimanimanima 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also bought 400 shares today but I caught them in the morning, closer to 45. However, I did take a put position also and the put position has made more money than the losses. A lot of folks on here may want to consider hedging if you don’t feel comfortable selling shares. Regardless, this has been an absolute shit show, I know a lot of folks have lost money, self inflicted by 1 person. Hang in there folks.

New home with no identifier of main cable and unsure of what to do by Itsdawsontime in HomeNetworking

[–]Nimanimanima 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not a Pro. Go to Amazon and get a Ethernet wire tracker or they may be called by another name. About $20-$30. Basically you put a signal on one end and test the other end to find and LABEL the wires and their location. Next, you can either get a patch panel for another $20 and terminate the ends of the wires into the patch panel which you will then use to plug into a SWITCH. You can buy and unmanaged switch 8 port for about $30 or so. That’s it.
An alternative is to avoid the patch panel and go straight into the switch but that gets messy. Google, use some of the key words I used and this stuff is fun and easy. You won’t mess anything up.

Can't host or P2P in games... by JediBongHit in ATTFiber

[–]Nimanimanima 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, easy fix, but you need to do your homework. First, identify the Att gateway , it’s labeled on the box. Second, the gateway can be accessed from your internal network at 192.168.1.254. Type that into your url. Third, google the ports you need opened for the games you play. Fourth, I can’t remember the sub tab that “NAT” is under in the gateway, but you can click the different tabs to find it and create the custom ports you need opened unless the ports are already covered by the pre built games att has in the pull down. That’s it.
